Special Character Contest - Ended

I don't plan to be active on EV for a bit but I wanted to put this up now, I will check in on this post from time to time though.

I'm going to keep this short, I'm looking for a character to be made based on my mother that passed away recently.

Doesn't have to be double sided but would love for it to be,
Custom, free to use or pay to use lines are all fine
You can enter in as many as you like
There is no end date as of now

Bit about her:

She had very long black hair
She loved the color purple
She collected crosses
She loved red roses and butterflies 
She wore glasses(not sure how this could be included but thought to mention it anyway)
She loved cats
She loved to sew
She loved the holidays especially Christmas

Would really love the lines to have a long mane and tail but not necessary

I did whip this up between my studies, I had fun trying to include as many as your points as I could and creating this design :)

a blacky-purple design with funky markings, on the left side example a rose is on her tail. On the right side, she is shown with a butterfly on her nose, flying above her, and a cute little companion kitten swatting at another butterfly close to the ground, as well as a cross on her leg. She had bluey-green eyes, a purple forelock, and a purple to black fading mane and tail. All colours used are on the side, labelled. 

completely custom made
Name can be added, I could also somehow try to incorporate glasses into the design or as an add on if you please :)

It looks awesome, I'll be keeping this open to wait and see who all post and have yet to decide a date 

I will work on an entry when I have spare time.... Sorry to hear what happened. :( I just had a contest for a character based on my grandmother who passed away recently and I adore the character ♥

She's black with purple roaning and a butterfly-shaped whiteface. Her cross marking has stitching on the border and I gave her rose themed accessories. (I can remove the add-ons if you'd like!)
I might make some more designs later ♥

Sorry to hear about your loss 

I wonder if you are alright with traditional drawings too? I suck at digital, and i'm better with drawing stuff if its on paper

I'm sorry about your loss, I hoped to commemorate your mother in my entry:

She is purple with black hair and white tobiano markings which make shapes of crosses and a butterfly. She has sparkly silver hooves and red roses wrapped around her tail. She has a butterfly companion and a cat's paw prints on her face, as a reference to her glasses and love of cats. In her mouth she holds a thread which she sews with. The silver hooves, butterfly's colours and gold thread are all Christmassy colours. I hope you like her :)

I haven't made anything like a reference in a long while, but I tried! I apologize for the mane and tail as those are not my strong points in art...

buckskin: I looked around your page and it seems as if you have a lot of designs that are buckskin-ish so I figured I would try to go with a color you may enjoy!

snowflake pattern: holidays, Christmas-like. I didn't want to add anything physical in fear of it being gaudy.

purple ribbon: a graceful add-on that fits the color preference.

roses: something that your mother loved, and they are a beautiful asset to a buckskin!

cross scar: a subtle yet defined scar to indicate that He is always with her.

butterflies: another thing I just added to the reference instead of the design itself.
