It's My 4-Year Equiversary c:

As you can see by reading the title, today is my four-year Equiversary (well actually I wrote this entire thing the day before but still). Where has all the time gone? Four years really doesn't seem like all that much when you just think of it as a number, but upon taking a moment to think over all that took place over these four years, both in-game and irl... it seems like it was forever ago when I joined.

So, with that said, thanks for everything, EV. This game made those few years all the more enjoyable, and I am excited for the many more to come. I may be drastically newer than quite a few of you guys (a decade? wow!), but over my time here I've seen many old regulars eventually quit and fade to the back of my memory, my old memories of them occasionally resurrected when I happen to see their name when looking through some older horses. I've also seen many newer players stick around long enough to become regulars, and because of the fact that I've now been here for four whole years and have witnessed a couple "generations" of EV players come and go, I think I now officially qualify as an EV veteran, no? Not nearly an oldie yet, but possibly... middle-aged? Haha but in all seriousness, I do really want to thank all of you, both those who have long since left and those who are still here, both those who have been around for years and those who just joined, both those who I know well enough to consider friends and those who have never even gazed upon my name until now. All of you were/are responsible for making my time on this game as awesome as it always has been, and I cannot thank you guys enough for what an awesome site this truly is. Abbey, thanks for creating EV. All the admins and mods, thanks for being awesome at what you do. And to all of you, thanks for keeping it fun for four whole years. May it continue to be so for years to come.


Additionally, I'd like to make note of another very special anniversary that happens to fall on this very day. No, no, it's not a wedding anniversary or anything like that, but it still does mean a lot to me. One year ago today, a certain RP thread was posted. It's still called by the simple name of "Greek Mythology," though it's rather simple name is a huge understatement - not just for the RP itself, which went from 0 to 100 to 5000 very quickly, but also for the friendships that we all made along the way.

So, on that note, I'd like to take a moment to give special thanks to a very special group of people. You guys know who you are. All of my time on EV has been great, that is true, but I gotta say, this past year has been the best yet, and I owe that to you guys. I can now say, without a trace of doubt, that you're some of my best friends, and I really hope you all know that. Scrambling to get caught up on reading/replying to all of our RPs, unintentionally staying up really late babbling about our characters, creating lasting inside jokes... Whatever events may unfold each day, I want you to know that I've enjoyed every minute of it, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. It may sound cheesy (and probably dumb to say to a bunch of people I've never actually met in person), but I love you guys.


Thanks for a wonderful few years, everyone. Here's to many more. :)
