Shane
Shane sighed, his eyes following her as she went to another tree. "What about reality? Or... um, the gods? Greek gods?" Shane gave up on trying to get her to understand his knowledge, instead turning to what she knew. "Never mind- forget that. Tell me about this place."

Lorelei
Lori didn't reply, not really sure what he was trying to say or ask. So she just stepped around him and continued on her way. There was a patch of really pretty flowers outside the wood that she wanted to go see, and then she would head to the stream to wash her hands and get a drink.

Shane
Shane groaned quietly, spinning around and following her again. "What do you normally do on a day to day basis?"

Lorelei
"Walk." Lori stepped into a field and made her way directly to the small cluster of dusty pink petals. She sat on the ground and leaned forward to breathe in their sweet scent, staying far enough away to not startle the bee busy pollinating them. When the bee flew away to continue his day, Lori watched him for a moment with a smile before turning her attention back to the flowers. She forgot Shane, singing softly to the plants and running her hands gently over them. A troubled expression shattered the peace that had settled over her a moment before and her song stuttered into silence. She reached for a flower near the back and cupped the head in her hand. It was drooping, its leaves browning and its color faded.

Shane
Shane watched her again, this time at his breaking point of confusion. He flung his hands in the air saying, "That's it- you've lost it." He turned around and left her to deal with flowers while he tried to find where he left Harper.

Lorelei
She glanced up but didn't move, returning her attention to the dying flower. She wasn't sure what was wrong with it. Lori let go and checked the surrounding buds and leaves, but they all seemed fine.

Shane
As Shane was walking, he subconsciously forgot to pick up his feet, which resulted in him stumbling and falling on his face. He groaned and propped himself onto his elbows, staring at the ground begrudgingly.

Verena
Verena watched curiously from the trees as people walked through. She followed the boy through the forest as he left.

Shane
Shane finally stood up, brushing himself off. He grabbed his bow, morphing both the arrow and bow back into a pocket knife, then continued on his way.

Ethel
Ethel finished sharpening her dagger, analyzing its edge with a critical eye before nodding to herself and tossing the rock away, clearly satisfied. She slid it back into its sheath and stood up, brushing off her pants before taking a few steps forward only to stop again, scanning her surroundings. No sounds disturbed the eerie silence other than birdsong, until... Ethel's head snapped to the right, and her hand was back on the hilt of her blade in an instant. Her eyes drifted up to the branches of a huge tree, where a vibrantly-colored monkey-like creature stared back at her, its feet clinging expertly to the branch it was perched on. It looked cute enough, but Ethel was far too experienced to fall for its disguise. Sure enough, as if on cue, the monkey bared its teeth and lunged forward, its mouth a huge maw of fangs as brightly-colored as its patterned fur. Ethel snatched out her dagger just in time to skewer it right before it landed on her; the animal was small enough that the tip of the blade could be seen poking through its back. She waggled the weapon in her hand in an attempt to remove the animal from it, finally managing to fling it off with a look of disgust. The creature tumbled for a moment before coming to rest at the base of a nearby bush, neon green blood seeping from the huge hole through its abdomen that had rendered its body lifeless. Ethel grumbled under her breath in disdain, wiping the blood (was it really even blood?) on her blade off onto her overalls.

Lorelei
She crawled around the bunch of flowers until she was closer to the wilting one. Her hand reached out and once again gently cradled the bud in her hands. Its life was slowly seeping away. Lori realized it had grown old and this death was inevitable. She started a quiet song, in a lower key than the songs she'd sung earlier, slow and a bit haunting. The language on her lips was from the fae, though the origin of the songs was unclear. Did she create them on a whim or were they handed down to her? These weren't things Lori worried about. She knew them, and that's all that mattered to her.

Ethel
Ethel shook her head and trudged away, eyes and ears scanning her surroundings so vigilantly that it could almost be described as neurotic - and as a matter of fact, that's exactly what it was. She muttered to herself as she walked, most of it nonsense, though some of it was centered around - strangely enough - her early childhood, which was just about the only time her life was semi-normal. Despite it being a bit random, it was really no surprise, as that was the subject of most of her rambling.
Rustling on the ground to her right stole Ethel's attention, and she looked down, tracing the ground for the culprit. A medium-sized weed of sorts with a round mouth-like opening full of tiny, needle-like teeth was crawling onto her boot; she stood and watched it as it struggled to dig its laughably small - though undoubtedly sharp and probably also poisonous, as most things there tended to be - fangs into the thick leather. After a few moments, she got tired of watching it and kicked it away, causing the sentient plant to fall back to the ground with a faint, high-pitched squeal of terror. The woman scoffed and resumed walking.
After a while, she reached the end of the forest, which ended at the base of a hill. She reasoned that the top of said hill would be a great vantage point, so she decided to climb to the top. It was rather level, so the climb was not hard at all. However, her little quest was cut short when she noticed someone up ahead of her a little ways. The figure was moving around in a bed of wildflowers a bit to Ethel's right, seemingly very interested in them. After observing the stranger for a moment, Ethel's curiosity got the best of her, and she jogged closer, stopping a safe distance away and watching them for another moment before speaking. "Hey! Kid! Who are you and why am I trapped in some kind of weird psychedelic jungle?"

Lorelei
She looked up, a bit startled, at the stranger. She'd been very focused on the little wilting flower that she hadn't even heard her approach. Another odd one. Lori shrugged in reply to the woman's second question, answering her first just like she'd answered Shane - with a simple "Lori."

Fox
Fox paused in her trudging to tiredly wipe the sweat from her brow, chest heaving as her hand dropped limply to her side and she adjusted her grip on her sword - which the point of was dragging on the ground, leaving a rough trail in the soft dirt behind them. "How-" She sucked in a deep breath, turning to side eye the leafy looking creature that sat on her shoulder, small green vines curled around her arm holding it steady. "How much longer?" It chirped happily, and Fox groaned again. "You said 'five minutes' five minutes ago!" While she was used to ridiculously hot weather, nothing could prepare her for the moisture in the forest, and the beading sweat on her forehead led her to wipe her face again as the little leaf chattered away, and Fox started walking again. "No, I know you didn't say 'five minutes' it's just an expression- A minute is something you measure time with- I- Yeah, time. Y'know, like, how long the day is. Minutes and hours and stuff."

Shane
Shane made his way back to Harper, finding her motionless form still sleeping in the bright green grass. He sighed heavily and, sitting down a little ways from her, he leaned over and carefully took Chicken Slayer out of its sheath. Normally, Harper would've woken up in two seconds and tried to kill him (it had happened before), but over the years he had discovered all the ways of keeping her asleep while still getting what he was after. Once he had the dagger, he grabbed a random stick nearby, starting to shave it into a sharp point.
