[pistol] life updateeeee

hey everyone! long time no see.

I've decided to kinda make a come back to the forums after a long time of stalking and just caring for my horses. I'm busy but I also really miss the community here!

some updates... over the summer, my great aunt (other barn owner) lost two horses. her 12yo Peruvian/Kentucky Mtn. she lost to laminitis and her 38yo Paint to old age. you may know them, you may not. if you're curious you can visit my website.

my family also lost two dogs in may, within two weeks of each other. our 13yo shih-tzu mix to heart issues and our 15yo chocolate lab to a stroke(?).  that was definitely a rough time for all of us, and we were left with basically an empty house which was really weird. 

(sorry this is so sad, but there's more).

and lastly, for the sad part of things, I had to put my beloved horse Lucy down last week. she was my first horse and was having lameness issues, and bute can only go so far, especially in the hard wisconsin winters. this was even harder than anything, seeing an animal you put so much work into for 4+ years go so soon. i'd been debating this decision for a while, but nothing you do helps that. this year was definitely not easy for any of the animals in my life for some reason. 

(*looking for any art for her. I have tons of money to spend.)

we got a puppy yesterday. my family agreed that it has been too odd without a dog in the house (which is a great problem, I think) and my dad wanted a specific breed for hunting. well, I looked around, contacted a few people, and that led us to this little girl.

everyone meet Reno, our 8-week old Hungarian Vizsla pup!

we've done some research, but any puppy tips are helpful! we've never truly had one so this is definitely interesting for us. 

so anyways, sorry for the pretty sad but kinda happy update. nice to see you all ♥♥

Sorry for all your loses Pistol ♥ I remember when you first got Lucy ❤️ The new pup is absolutely adorable! If you need anything don't hesitate to message me!

aw sorry for your losses): i lost my cat in october which, i know is only just a cat, but losing him felt the same as anyone losing their heart horse, so i understand how hard it is. but it’s good to see you back!! adorable new puppy ♥

Sorry to hear about all your losses but that is one adorable little puppy! Happy to have you back full bore again as well. I hope life treats you better this year!

@zest: it's so cool seeing how tight-knit of a community we are that we remember little things like that! thank you ♥

@wey: oh trust me I get it! it's not "just a cat." heck, I sometimes have a hard time when I lose a goldfish lol. anything that's a part of the family is hard to lose. thank youuuu love ♥

Sorry to hear about the losses of your family. I too lost some family this year, a cat, a dog, a hamster, my grandmother, and my great grandfather. It is always hard losing a member of your family no matter what they are, human or animal. 

Such a cute puppy! Bringing a puppy into the home will hopefully do some good and cheer everyone up! After the death of our family members we also began to add new member, including a kitten that may have pituitary dwarfism (I love her with all my heart ♥ ) and they cheered my family up but the sadness is still there no matter what.
