Torpid Void

Harper
Harper nodded silently, brushing her toes in the sand nervously.

Louis
Still holding the girl's hand, Louis started after the creepy lady dressed in dark clothing. I hate this place with a passion.

Rowan
There wasn't any sign of anything around him, so he picked a direction and started walking. "This'd better end soon. I've got my poetry lecture at five tomorrow." It should be noted that Rowan wasn't a very street smart person- if it weren't for the directions on most of the processed, prepackaged, ready-in-less-than-four-minutes food that he somehow remembered to buy, the poor kid would have probably starved awhile ago.

Harper
Harper followed both oc them, her eyes still tracing the ground. The woman led them to a small hut. A sign hung from the door, but it didn't say anything. "Here we are! Make yourself at home."

Louis
He took a deep breath and calmed himself down a little. "Could you explain a little bit, please? Where are we? Why are we here?"

Harper
"Well, you're in the first division, as to why you're here-" she cut herself off and shrugged. "But inside you will find room and food, and then in about an hour, we can get you signed up for a job!"

Louis
"Fun," he muttered, looking at the building. "Thanks for your help," he added as genuinely as he could before hesitantly pushing the door open. 

Harper
"Of course!" Then she was gone. Harper wrigled her hand free from Louis' grasp, looking up slightly at the building.

Louis
He looked around the inside, as much of it as he could see, that is, and then stepped inside. He turned to make sure Harper was following him in (he wouldn't put it past that lady to try and steal her).

Harper
Harper followe, looking around curiously, but still staying very quiet. She sighed slightly.

Louis 
He closed the door and glanced around. "I should have asked about the money system here, stores, and all that," he said, mostly to himself. "Are you hungry?" Louis asked Harper.

Harper
"No, I'm fine... thanks," she mumbled. She decided to venture around the hut. There were two rooms, a bathroom, a kitchen (of sorts), and a small living room.

Louis
He wasn't very hungry, either, having had pizza with Donovan only a couple hours ago. He was tired. An entire day of work only to be wisked away and dropped into the morning with no sleep at all. Louis did a quick walkthrough of the building. "Which room do you want?" he called to Harper as he poked around what he assumed was the kitchen.

Harper
Harper thought about it, but didnt answer. This- I... I can't sleep well without Shane at night... She sighed miserably and rested her head on a random wall.

Louis
When his question was responded to with silence, he exited the kitchen. Upon spying Harper, he ran a hand through his hair and thought for a moment. I'm not great at cheering people up. "I'll get you home. For now, we'll have to do the best with what we have. And right now all we really have is each other and this slightly boring hut."
