Torpid Void

Ace
Ace groaned. "How do you get into this trouble?!"

Louis
Confusion slipped over his features. "How is it trouble?" 

Ace
"Everything's trouble," Ace replied, getting up and headibg towards the front door. "C'mon."

Louis
He shrugged internally and followed Ace. 

Ace
Ace led him outside, following a road until it came to the edge of town. He'd done this multiple times by himself, so nobody bothered to stop him.

Louis
"So, what are we doing out here?" 

Ace
"So did Aerow ask you to give something up?" Ace asked.

Louis
"Yeah. But I told her I didn't have anything, and she said she'd give me free passage." 

Ace
Ace glanced down at the ground. "Why are you going there?"

Louis
"A couple reasons. For one thing, I want to find that kid and make sure she's okay. And I'm also going to find this one person Aerow said might mentor me." 

Ace
He bit his lip, his mind racing and his heart not going much slower. He exhaled slowly, producing darkness from his hand. He tried miserably to ignore the pain that seared through his arm, though he was pretty sure it was still very evident in his eyes. "Do me a favor would you? If you ever figure out a way to destroy this place, please, please do it," he requested, the world around them starting to dissolve. Ace kept his eyes focused on the ground, calming his mind down so it wasn't being so loud. "Good luck" were his last words before he fell into the darkness, leaving Louis alone in the second division.

Louis
He blinked, staring at where Ace had been a couple moments prior. Did he just - Louis closed his eyes for a moment, hoping Ace had simply returned to the fourth division, but his gut telling him that was not the case. Why didn't he tell me? I could have found another way. He took a deep breath, glancing around at his new surroundings. He needed to find Harper and some other lady. Whichever would come first he didn't know. "Harper?" he called softly, not wanting to be too loud. He wandered a little bit. 

Harper
Harper heard someone far off, tilting her head at the sound, but otherwise disregarding it.

Louis 
He was a bit too distracted to continue looking for things. He stopped wandering and took yet another deep breath, having tried that over and over to no avail. He wasn't calming down, and he hated it. "Aerow," he said, his voice close to a growl, "What happened to him?" 

Aerow
"Who, my child?" Aerow formed in front of him, her head tilted in questioning.
