Save Our Sales.

No fashion changes with everyone, but there are a number of very established breeders who are increasingly turning away from the "over" breeding, inbreeding stigma.  The main reasons are because those stigmas actually make it harder to create a truly competitive show horse, and because it stifles people's willingness to both buy and sell horses, causing the market to become stagnated.  People are so afraid that their horses will be "over" bred that they often refuse to sell to others, or so put off by a little inbreeding that they pass over perfectly good horses that are for sale.  This creates isolated horse hoards, each one growing in its own little bubble, and it is death to the economy.

Meanwhile, those of us who don't care are cooperating with each other, and building powerhouse herds that can walk away with the competition.  Little by little, people are coming to recognize this, and are adjusting accordingly.  This is only going to grow, which means that there is going to be a shift in the sorts of horses that end up selling quickly.  "Clean" lines already are at a disadvantage at showing, and they are on the verge of becoming a disadvantage in selling, too.

Actually, the only other culler who has answered me at any length has said that he doesn't even check to see if the horses have low non-discipline specs.  And, having just finished going through all breeds of horses for sale, sorted only by discipline, I can attest to the fact that there are many desirable horses at amazingly low prices.  I've been buying all the way down to the minimum prices available.  (In fact, some of the worst horses are the highest priced ones - it's obvious that they have been cubed for generations, jacking up the total specs in an entirely useless manner, and then they get priced as if all those specs were actually valuable.)

I just went through your cull division, Nittrous, and found 7 that I would have bought in a heartbeat (and still would buy, if you made them available.)  They're not at the super-low level that is proof of pre-recode ancestry, but they're about as good as you can get for post-recode, and I can work with that.

@ Confessor:
unfortunately, you're rare type. Most players doesn't care about low non-spec if they have bad lines. I know some players who would inspect every inch of the pedigree (not just visible one). I am not going to accommodate for few players. Again, you're welcome to beat me in buying those horses. I wouldn't object to it if those horses are off market for good.

personally, overbreeding doesn't bother me anymore. however, I don't breed horses anymore. this account is how I play this game now. this method earns me a large sum of money daily. Maybe, I will return breeding one day but I don't see myself doing that anytime soon. I have no patience for it. It is hassle to try figure out how to breed properly because nothing will satisfy everyone.

@confessor - if youre looking on my main account, horses being culled are those of my own creation.  If youre looking at a spare, half of those being culled are also from my confirmation project.  Feel free to message me links to any in particular youre looking at, I'm not here to prevent people from buying horses, simply getting rid of one's I think are in the way.

Any horse with a number in brackets [2000] are ones that have been purchased for culling, if that makes your search easier.

Thank you, I will message you which ones I am interested in. They were in your spare.

I also found 19 in the Hades, and 50 in the Demon accounts, but they admitted they didn't check anything but price.  Many of them are in breeds that I've had trouble finding any suitable horses.

It's not that I think culling is a totally bad thing, I just think that it is good to be careful what you delete.  Just because something is cheap, doesn't mean it's worthless.

** Im all about low nss stats when shopping for horses. I dont care about colour or confo.. I dont really care about discipline either, provided the low nss are appropriate for the assigned discipline of the horse.. I pretty much just go through horses and buy, based on low nss.. Always been that way lol
