NYC High School

Kahlen 
"We'll visit it later, but we have places to be at the moment," Kahlen said, shouldering her way past a horde of pedestrians with Auberon in tow.

Auberon
"Also, I was just thinking of a list of people you could kill," Auberon said, still managing to keep up beside her. He grabbed a piece if paper out of his back pocket and handed it to her. "I managed to figure out eighty percent of the kids going to this school."

Kahlen 
Kahlen glanced down at the list- it was covered in names, front to back. "Wow. Thanks?"

Auberon
"Well I figured I'd spare you the process of trying to figure it out and then having to do it all on the last day- I also looked up all their name meanings to determine who should be gotten rid of," he explained.

Margot
She neared the school, having just finished her cup of coffee. The scone had disappeared two blocks ago. Em tossed the napkin and empty cup into the recycling bin outside the school building. Doors would be opening in two minutes if her phone clock was right.

Kahlen 
"Well, I appreciate it." Kahlen instinctively stopped at the school grounds. I really don't want to deal with this again... this year is going to be different. 

Auberon
Auberon nodded, stopping slightly after she had stopped, then backing up to standing next to her again and looked down at her.

Margot

She looked up from her book, hearing someone approach. The janitor inside was heading toward the doors to unlock it. She smiled at him and waved. He was a nice guy. Em glanced around and spotted two others on the grounds, a boy and a girl. Her smile still intact, she gave them a small wave. The key clicked in the school's door and the janitor pushed it open. Em hurried over to help him, stooping for the door stopper. The older gentleman had a bad back and she knew it hurt for him to bend down every day for the piece of wood. She slid it into place and straightened.

Kahlen 
Kahlen exhaled slowly. No Olympians or monsters quite yet. It's just school- get over it, you hypocrite.

Auberon
Auberon studied Kahlen for a moment, his stormy eyes starting to etch patterns of concern across their soul. He sighed and squeezed her hand reassuringly. "You'll be fine, love," he said quietly, grabbing some chocolate he had made from his pocket an handing it to her. 

Kahlen 
Kahlen bit her lip as she took the chocolate. "Right." She forced herself to move toward the front doors.

Auberon
Auberon exhaled quietly, following her in silence, hoping she was okay.

Margot
The janitor unlocked the second door and swung it open. Em put the door stopper in place for him again. "At the end of the day you can just kick the door stopper away instead of bending down to move it," Em suggested, smiling at the nice old man. He had worked at the high school for years without any appreciation. He beamed at her with the sweetest smile that always made it worth it. "Thank you, miss." "No problem." Em stepped inside the building, pausing as the crisp morning air turned into the smell of a school hallway. Realizing she was in the doorway, she quickly stepped to the side. "La Rentrée Des Classes," Em muttered. Now, what was her locker number? 

Kahlen 
Kahlen shoved away the rising panic and uneasiness. It's going to be fine. You're over thinking this again. She tried to distract herself by going through her list of classes, locker number and combination, and several important dates, but it didn't work very well.

Auberon
Auberon sensed Kahlens' heart beat speeding up, so he stopped himself (therefore stopping her) and turned her towards him. "Kahlen, calm down."
