I did try some roaning... Sorry i'm still learning (A)

Well I feel like it's a little late now, but Wey you entered that design in my contest and then withdrew it. So technically you shouldn't be posting it here. I just wanted to point that out.

Maan, with roaning, I recommend that you darken the head and legs. The light body with dark points is the is basically the signature of roaning. It's what hairs ticked through out the body of the horse to give it that appearance of being lighter

Yes i know ^^ I did try some semi- natural and this is how it packed out :P
Still have to practise a lot with paint markings (AA)

Try finding some helpful marking brushes on deviantart.com. Also use small brushes to make the edges of markings look more detailed. Take a picture of a horse and look at their markings. They're not perfectly round! :)

I dont have any markings brushes at the moment, need to download gimp.


But definitely look at references. Shoot,I can find you a few to and toss together a chart for you so you can get a better idea of the characteristics of each pattern.
