Shane
"I just came here to get away from... well, pain," Shane mumbled, wincing slightly at a memory that decided to pop up.

Quincy
"It actually gets quite warm in the summer." And why am I still talking to these people? 

Mari 
"I'm just going to hope and pray that this is not summer, then." Mari paused, adding, "I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be fall. Or at least, that's what it was in Kansas."

Shane
Shane sighed. "Why do we have to talk about the weather like civilized people," he complained, picking up Teddy.

Quincy
"We're in the same Hemisphere. We have the same seasons." I should go. 

Mari 
"Could've fooled me. There is an upside to all these layers- I was able to take two more guns than I usually do."

Quincy
"Guns are so uncivilized. Loud, bulky, and unpredictable." He had gotten good at hiding his fear of guns. He had gotten better at handling them over the years, but sometimes froze when one came into sight. The gunshots the previous night hadn't really phased him because he knew they were fake.

Mari
"I hate having to use them, so luckily the need is rare." Just a comfort more than anything else, I guess.

Shane
"I think-" Shane's phone cut him off, and he took it out to see who it was. "Oh... I'll call her back," he mumbled, shutting it off and putting it back in his pocket.

Quincy
"We're not doing anything important. You probably should have taken that." Quinn sighed and sat up. "Well, you guys probably don't want to hang out with a criminal, so I should go."

Shane
"Maybe I just didn't want to talk to her," Shane snapped quietly. 

Quincy
"Chill out. It's your life, do what you want." Quinn got to his feet. "If I'm going to leave, I'll be needing my cloak." 

Mari 
Mari handed Quinn his cloak. "Thanks."

Quincy
"Yeah, sure. They're surprisingly warm. There's a shop over there," he pointed, "that makes them. I'm sure you can find a thicker one that might help keep you warm." He swept the cloak back over his shoulders and exited the park. Let's see... He had sold yesterday's profits. Had a small break. What time was it? He might as well grab some breakfast. Quinn headed for the bakery that he frequented.

Shane watched Quinn go. "I should probably get Teddy back and then go hide somewhere..." he mumbled.
