Betta Fish Breeding..

So as a small hobbie I have been trying to breed bettas. Last year I breed a pair I had and only two survived from the spawn. So they are now old enough to have babies if their own. So I am trying. I will post pics soon. But has anyone else thought about it or tried? 

I haven't tried, but I do have a betta male and thought of getting him a partner. But doesn't it require owning another aquarium, since well, betta splendens=siamese fighting fish=they are pretty aggressive.

I have a bunch of individual tanks. 

I did have a male betta (Einstein) and I was going to get a female to breed them. I called the pet store and they said that they could order one in for me. I waited weeks and the pet store never called back. I called them again and they said that they would let me know but they still haven't called me back and now it has been around 5 months since I last called. Unfortunately Einstein passed away from old age and I now have no more bettas. I might get a dumbo ear sometime, but I wanna give guppies a try before I get another betta. Good luck!

I had a Betta Fish, It was a long time ago. I can't now, because of my 2 cats.

I have thought about it, but haven't done it yet. I just ordered two dumbo ear bettas, a male and female. I might try to breed them when they're older, [they're only about 2.5 months old] but I'm not quite sure yet. I've been doing a lot of research on the topic, as I want to do it right if I do decide to do so.
