Only The Strong Survive

Outlaw 
She gave a small huff of laughter. “You telling me? I don’t think I’ve ever gone through this much ammo before. And here I got sent here for some quiet time. What a joke” she said. 

Auberon
Auberon rolled his eyes in exasperation. "The rain here will be the death of me. Like seriously, where's the scortching hot weather? Hah, not here," he grumbled. "Yup, I'm in a life or death situation and I'm worried about the weather." And my girlfriend but I won't mention that.

Outlaw 
“What I’m curious is how this started” she replied, drawing her pistol and shooting down five zombies before a person coulda blinked. 

Auberon
Auberon looked up at the sky and gave a what do you think? look, then sighed and gazed out behind Outlaw. "Who knows- but I have had way to many supernatural things happen in the past two years and I'm not sure my brain can handle this."

Outlaw 
“Tell me bout it” she muttered tiredly. She needed to sleep. 

Auberon
Auberon shook his head. "C'mon- I don't suppose you have anywhere to actaully stay? Then again it'd be almost impossible for you not to have a hideout."

Outlaw 
“Welp, I kinda do. Sorta. If your ok with heights” she replied. 

Auberon
"Of course. Just as long as there's no plastic or chocolate I'll be good," Auberon replied, scanning the area cautiously. "Any clue where we are currently? I don't know anything about this state."

Outlaw 
“It’s Washington. That’s all I can tell yah” she replied, leading him into the forest. Once she reached a large clump of trees in the middle of a small clearing she stopped and used her lasso to pull down a rope ladder. “Up you go” she said. 

Auberon
Auberon nodded and followed Outlaw. When they got there, he stared up the ladder for a while. "You're younger; you should go first," Auberon said with a smile.

Outlaw
She gestured slightly with the pistol. “Go already. I’m better with a gun, I’ll cover the ground while you climb. Plus I can climb quicker then you fir after.”

Auberon
"Oh please- you've never seen me use a gun," he said with a smirk. He started climbing the ladder.

Outlaw 
“If the way you carry it is any indicater I’m better.” She replied. He carried it all wrong, he’d never be able to slip it out easily and quickly. 

Auberon
Auberon reached the top and looked down at Outlaw. "That's a lie!" he called, rolling his eyes and shaking his head.

Outlaw 
“Your tellin a gunslinger?” She questioned, shooting several nearby zombies then swiftly scaling the ladder and pulling it up. She’d built a platform on the branches of the five trees that where in the middle of the clearing, complete with a roof and some beds. She’d realized zombies couldn’t climb, so as long as she left the ladder up when she wasn’t using it they couldn’t get at her, as the hut was 30 feet off the ground. She tied the ladder to a branch, making sure it couldn’t slip back down.
