So, who is doing what?

@ Feathered Gold - Re Clydes I should say I keep my Solids & Sabino's separate & am breeding out some of the sabino. I also am trying to keep a separate line of blacks & chestnuts but I have a load of locked foals Im only just getting round to sorting through starting this very morning actually!

@Ghostflower - I have just bred my Driving DWBs last week so I haven't had a chance to pair up foals yet so they are currently locked.  However I am in the process of doing so (at least my excel spreadsheet is started!) so hopefully they'll be paired up soon!

I'm breeding andalusians competing in dressage, and I strive for good stats and conformation. I like basic colors a bit more than rare ones (black, bay, chestnut, gray) and face&leg markings (except white face). I'm kind of uninspired right now though because it is really hard to sell horses with a reasonable price. Right now I'm not getting money from anywhere expect from shows and I'm trying to figure out if I should start breeding another breed too or if that would just be wasting my money.

Marius - It is tough for everyone right now to be honest! I have sold horses for way less than what I felt they were worth just to find them a new home. If you would be interested in Chincos you should look into the new chinco project that so many people are working on? Also are you a member of the dressage federation? We would love to have you over there and it is another way to get your horses seen :) :)

I also have multiple breeds in multiple disciplines. My breeds/disciplines:

dressage - akhal-tekes, andalusians, gypsy vanners, lipizzaner, welsh ponies,
driving - clydesdales, friesians, gypsy vanners, miniature horses, mustangs, paint horses, shetland ponies,  thoroughbreds,

I need to think about working on non spec stats though, because apparently that is important to a lot of people.

-----------------

I also just recently made a few non breed specific goals:

Own a 2k/2.5k/3k/3.5k stated horse
Breed a 500/750/1k/1250/1.5k/1750/2k foal
Save 1m/2m/3m/4m/5m/10m/15m/20m EVD

-----------------

Needless to say, I am crazy rofl.

My Appies will always be my prime focus.. mainly western discipline.. some rare colours..
also working with Chincos... mainly show jumping..but have picked up a bunch of assorted discipline foundations..
and then there's my Morgans.. assorted disciplines...
( have tons of assorted breeds locked, vanners, quarter horses, mustangs..just to name a few...not enough time to work with them all) lol

All my side accounts are locked but major projects over there are my jumping quarters(used to be fjords), and my endurance tekes. I did start a small line of Western chincos, but I haven't done much with them yet due to lack of time.

I'm working with Quarter horses in Western, I'm aiming for high stats and hopefully some pretty colors. I don't have any specific colors I'm aiming for but I'm hoping to breed out the greys I have and to get other colors out of my white ones. I'm thinking later on when I have more money and room I might add another breed but that's undecided as of now :)

I love hearing about what everyone is doing right now! I see a lot of people I may seek out for foals or breedings in the future :)

@Ghostflower
It's awesome that you're so organized! I am really not, lol. YAY for Black TBs! I think I've bought some from you in the past and will surely be doing so in the future! Though hopefully a ways down the line I have 40 right now, lol.
And YAY for Western Chincos! And Endurance are okay too. I just picked up a driving girl because she had 53 specialty stats and I just couldn't pass her up with how great of a shower she'll end up being.

@Fabelhaft
Sorry not sorry about those Chincos, they just look so good though xD And I also have Driving Friesians and Clydes! they're just on that poor spare account that gets neglected due to lack of time. I recently finally got them all to the same age though so they'll be going up again whenever I do make it over there!

Good luck to everyone on their goals and lines!

For the most part,  I've only been focusing on showjumping Dutch Warmbloods and dressage Trakehners.  However, lately I did start up a school herd comprised of dressage Appaloosas and racing Quarter Horses,  although they aren't my focus.

I'm just easing back into things after a few months' hiatus while I finished my university degree, but right now I'm just focusing on my walkers and have all of my clydes locked. I definitely need to go through my foundie hoard as I have SO many right now and don't have the time or motivation to care for 180 horses every day, but I keep falling into the "but what if you regret selling/culling that one later?" conundrum and hoarded they stay. (the fact that the horse market has basically crashed, especially for trained foundies, doesn't help things. I put a lot of time and effort into my herd to make them the best they can be, and I'd rather just cull than sell them for a stupidly low price.)

so yeah, TWHs are my game right now with my highest priority being low non-spec stats (hence why I show across all six disciplines, which I know is highly unusual in our little walker world) and fancy patterns/colors, especially silver and homozygous white patterns.
