Okay is it just me or...

Does anyone else get hurt a lot while riding? I don't mean like getting sore- but like falling off, running into trees, etc.
I recently started Western up again after like two years or so... And its been interesting xD Like, yesterday I ran my entire leg into a tree by accident, jolting and bruising my knee and hip up pretty nicely. Then today I fell off twice- and not to mention I've almost run face first into a tree while riding, and almost fell off multiple times xD

I’ve been hurt more times then I could ever count, it’s what comes with working with em, haha. I’ve been around em most my whole life, and yes you do get hurt, but once you find that horse that is your horse, everything becomes worth it, and it’s already worth it just to work with any horse.

I'm the opposite!  I rarely come off and when I do, even when its a hard fall- I have a tendency to fall hard on my head, I normally walk away pretty fine besides some soreness and muscle strains here and there.  I think I should be a helmet spokesperson with all the times I've had a hard fall on my head and walked away without a concussion!

Wouldn't say I got hurt a lot as such but The pony I first learned to ride on was a Haflinger called Mischief.... says it all really. Anyhoo he was a pain for barging in his stable so he used to squish me a fair bit. He also accidentally on purpose liked to stand on your foot while you were grooming him. i know he knew exactly what he was doing you could tell be the malicious glint in his eye!

Beyond that I once thought I got my nose broke by a horse throwing its head up randomly. But luckily it was just badly bruised & hurt like crazy for ages.

I have parted  ways a few times out the side door by a refusing mare at a water jump. She didn't like those much. It took me a while to figure that out despite her telling me so!

I'm usually pretty good at catching myself before I fall off, but I have my fair share of injuring myself while I'm riding and handling horses. First time I fell off, the horse nearly landed on my head while he continued to buck around the arena. My latest fall badly bruised my hip. I've even been ran in to trees and barbed wire fences. Then again, my horse's name is Loco so that might give you a hint at the way he tends to try and act while I'm in the saddle.

I guess I've been lucky. I've never fallen off a horse since all the horses I've ever ridden were bombproof trail horses.
