Appaloosa Disciplines?

#17705 Posted on 2016-03-10 21:51:39

I found myself some Apps in RC (they were cute foundations and had over 60 conformation - who am I to say no?) However, right now I have their pretty bums locked until I decide what discipline to go for.

So - what discipline are your Apps?

Please only suggest a discipline if you might be interested in buying/breeding them later on. I don't want (example) 3 of 7 racing Apps in the game and the owner of the other 4 doesn't like my colours/conformation/outside lines/etc. (of course I will be showing them to the best of my ability, but I understand not liking them in the future if their stats aren't as high as you would like)

Thanks!!

The Appaloosa horses I have under my "happy appy" division are my Appaloosas from before we came over here... They are in dressage, show jumping, and endurance.

However, I did create a second line of Appaloosas, "appy 2.0" that are all specialized in western. Gonna try to go more for confirmation with them but with 48 horses I've got time :P

Good luck on your Appaloosas! You could train them in whatever you want really. I'm so-so on caring for disciplines when I see a nice horse I'm considering in buying.

Mine are all in Driving due to having been Belgians before the transfer.

Ive just started a line of endurance Appaloosas on my spare.
I'm planning on breeding them down to one horse (I've got 8 pairs), but in the meantime plan on studding them out and will probably pick up a few pretties from others if they are endurance trained :)

I go by the stats each individual foundation shows...depends on what areas they have greater stats in and based those, I set the horse's discipline. So i have appys in all disciplines but my main discipline is western

Please feel free to come join the Appaloosa Horse Club if you're so inclined. meet other appy breeders, enter contests, register your horses and partiicipate in mega shows :o)

** you guys must be grabbing up foundations from the few hundred I created over the past couple of days.. Was searching for something special and hit the jackpot lolz..some great foundies available in the rc right now tho!!
