Customizing horse colors?

I recently got 2 horses that haven't had a color set, so I went to customize it, but when I click on the customize horse button at the bottom of the horse creator page  (which I reached using the link on the original horses page) it says that I can't afford this.

Do you have 15 credits? I think that's how much it costs...
I might be wrong XD

No I don't. I'm pretty sure I should be able to customize it for free? I'm not sure XD

I've never seen a horse with 'No color set'. How do you get one XD

it is possible that they are from pre-code where some breeds had colors that doesn't exist for those breed.
For example, Akhal Tekes used to have champagne but that color was removed from that breed in this version. 

edit: can you link to those horses? I checked your page and all of your horses have color assigned.

The horses must be from before the recode.
I'm almost certain that Abbey removed the ability to customize them because it's been over a year since the recode.

On the stable page it says that they are chestnut, but on their profiles it says they have no color set.

I don't think they are pre-code horses... my memory is little rusty but I think we switch to this version in 2015 or 2014. If they aren't precode horses then it could be a bug. You probably want to take it up to bug zapper and find out why they didn't have color assigned.

True. If we switched in 2015 or 2014 then it would be a bug as it says that they were born in 2016, so they wouldn't be pre-code horses.

Raptor and Opal hit the nail on the head there. Abbey did remove the feature, a year ago or two I think. 

The recode was in February 2016 if I remember correctly. 2016 for sure.

It looks to me like they are pre-recode horses. (The first day you could import horses from the old EV was 2/13/2016) Most horses with 2/13/2016 as their birthday are pre-recode horses. 

I hadn't heard that Abbey removed the ability to set colors for them though...
