Going to Yellowstone!

#171085 Posted on 2018-05-18 11:56:30

I'm leaving to Yellowstone tomorrow morning at 4:00 AM. I'm super excited. Seeing a wolf in the wild is on my bucket list and I'm hoping to check it off! We are staying in a tent at a campground called the Madison Campground. XD That was quite a coincidence as that is also my name. If anyone has been to Yellowstone feel free to share your experience and share all of your favorite places there. We are probably gonna go to any of the places you guys suggest. It will be a long 12 hour drive and I won't have any service for 5 days, so consider this a goodby-ish. I'll try to take some pictures!

I live about an hour from yellowstone. Please be careful as the water is very high right now and there is some major flooding in the area. Don't go to the tree forrest, its only one stump of petrified wood. hit up the waterfalls, they are very cool and the walk around the sulfur pits is also enjoyable. old faithful ofcourse. I would suggest going to the bear and wolf preserve in livingston if you want to see a wolf as I have been many times and have never seen one. Do not get close to elk or bison, they will charge if provoked, however most are fine with cars passing by as they have it all year round. If you get a chance go to glacier national park as I think it is much prettier. In the summer they have flathead cherries and make homemade huckleberry ice cream. If there are any further questions you have feel free to contact me. Have a wonderful and safe trip!

Oooo I wish I lived that close. We travel a ton and specialize pretty much in camping and have taken plenty precautions to make sure we don't bother the elk and bison. We have seen them lots XD I live in South Dakota, so they are pretty common. We also have bear spray and we know not to run from bears.

Old Faithful and Yellowstone Falls are both on our lists as well as some other geysers and waterfalls. Thanks! :)
