I'll post what I posted last time this topic came up:

I have gelded high statted horses and tossed them in the RC before. I had two different reasons.

1) I accidently bred the wrong horses together, so I gelded the "mistake" and tossed it in the RC. I didn't want that particular horse having offspring.

2) I bred more foals than I'd typically want chasing a certain genetic combination. I gelded the extra stallys so that I brought my genetic producing number of foals down to an acceptable (to me) number.

The reason they go into the RC is that other players might find them useful for competition horses to help push through lower game levels.

also since then I've added

3) Stallions that I bred which don't sell get gelded and tossed into the RC. I leave them for sell for at least 5 weeks before doing this, but if they won't sell then I geld them. Mares that won't sell get culled.

I know the feelin Ducky! But I can also see it from Aiglet’s point of view, lol. 

I can relate with both sides of it. So you aren't the only one that has gotten frustrated over similar situations.

my gelding rant is:

1) WHY GELD 0-3 YEAR OLD FOUNDATIONS?!
and 
2) WHY ADOPT STALLIONS SOMEOEN ELSE PUT IN THE RC ONLY TO GELD THEM AND IMMEDITELY RETURN THEM TO THE RC?!

i cannot fathom the reasoning behind the first. the second one i can understand if they’re trying to “eliminate low quality horses” or whatever, but i once dumped a dozen great statted, 0 year old 2nd gens that i thought someone might want, only to check back an hour later and find all those high quality stallions had been adopted, gelded, and dumped again. like...what?!?
