Owning Pets

#169642 Posted on 2018-05-06 17:07:54

 Hi,

My parents and I have three pets, two cats and a dog. Let me tell you something, having them is wonderful. They are a great comfort and they know when you’re happy, sad, sick, or whatever.

That’s it, that’s all I wanted to say.
I am new to this, please be nice in your comments and share if you have any pets.

I totally agree! I have 2 dogs (had 3, one left us :() 2 chickens, 3 horses, and 6 cats. They’re awesome to have around, sure, they can make you mad as anything somedays and it hurts like the dickens when they leave you, but in the end for me it’s well worth it!

I own a cat, who is named Obsidian (I call her Sid). No she isn't black lolz

Sid's most recent photo

This is her most recent photo. The camera on my phone is horrible, so this is the best I've got. She is medium hair tabby-point with gorgeous blue-green eyes.

Anyway she is 1.5 years old and a complete queen. My sister found her on the side of a busy highway when Sid was ~5 weeks old. She was very emaciated and covered with fleas, but I was able to get her up to weight.  Sid loves to play fetch (she can play for hours without tiring). She also adores cat treats and long naps c:

Here is what she looked like the day I got her c:

I have 1 cat and 1 dog. I had to put my other cat down last year, she had some genetic issues we unfortunately couldn't afford to keep up with and decided it was the best thing so she wouldn't constantly be in pain =(

I have two dogs (dash and carolina) and a cat (fred). We found Dash after her ran through our backyard and under one of our cars and Fred was found wandering around my aunt's neighborhood, but she already had three cats and she gave him to us. We adopted Carolina for $400 and we were told she was a huskey mix, but she is very much not.

I love my critters! I'd be lost without them for sure.
I've got my two kitties Shira Calpurrnia, and Harley Quinn. I also have 4 snakes! My boa Khaleesi, ball python Daenerys, Cornsnake Fire Lord Azulon, and a Mexican Black Kingsnake Ruin!

I'm on a list for a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel pup that will be born in June. My goal with him is to train him to help me around the house. Chronic pain makes things like bending, reaching, etc. really painful, and I'm hoping he'll pick things up I drop, bring me my phone when I fall if it's not on me, etc.

Here's an album with the rest of my critters. Some folks just don't like snakes, so I figured a blown up picture miiiiiiight not go over well with everyone!

Ooh!

I have 1 dog, an adorable Jack Russell Terrier mix named Bandit!!!

We got him from a family who couldn't take care of him anymore, since they already had 2 dogs  (legal limit here is 2 per household). They had gotten him from  their friends aunt who had him when he was a puppy but gave him to the friend when they couldn't keep him, and then the family agreed to keep him.
I'm pretty sure he has ptsd of some sort from an experience when he was younger, but he's really good with kids and even the little ones- he perks up when they make noises and will let toddlers pet him as long as they don't touch his face.
He's very cuddly and is a king of naptime. He loves walks and treats and has a vast assortment of tricks.
I'm hoping we can get him trained and registered as an emotional support dog for my anxiety issues, but we'll have to see.

Sorry lol I can't get a picture to work, so there isn't one lol

I have recently earlier this year acquired this Furbaby
named Sapphire & although its not been long I cant imagine life without her however since she spends most of her time wandering outside it is a major worry wondering if she'll come back. I honestly now have grey hairs since I got her!

I currently have 3 dogs, 4 skinks, 2 betta fish, and two hermit crabs. I moved a couple months ago and unfortunately had to give away my 2 horses, 1 snake, 18 cats, and all of our ducks and chickens. I'm planning on getting a hamster soon, but I'm not sure when. I have had tons of weird exotic pets lol. We also had a rehab for abandoned baby animals so we usually had raccoons, skunks, opossums, and squirrels. XD
