*Inability To Vote For Your Own Entry

Currently, members can vote for their own entry in a club contest. 
If a member votes for their own entry and another, trying to keep the contest fair, doesn't vote for their own, it doesn't seem fair on member 2. I think there is a simple solution: Don't allow members to vote for their own entry :) Thoughts?

I did not know this was a thing but it does seem a bit silly & open to abuse by individuals so I support this.

Perhaps this could be one of the contest options? That way it can be either, and the admin can decide what's appropriate.

I agree with Ulyssses. If it was a contest option then it would be completely the owner/admin's choice.

I think it will be hard to regulate. Most players had multiple accounts so they still can vote for themselves from their alternative account. I just don't see the point in this as long as we are allowed to have alternative accounts. 

i don't think it has to fix the entire issue to help, it discourages people to cheat and makes it harder to completely rig a contest. right now 3 votes practically guarantees a win, 2 votes for yourself still leaves you open to competition. people are constantly voting for their own entries, supporting their own suggestions, and liking their own posts. anything to at least cut down on it would help, making it a bit more inconvenient to cheat contests is a good start.

3 vs 2 doesn't make any difference, IMO...

Most players already have 3 accounts anyways. If they all voted for themselves. They all will have 3 votes, therefore a tie. There's no guaranteed winner since nearly everyone has 3 votes. In order to win, they all will need someone else to vote for them to break the tie. The ones who don't have multiple accounts, like me, will be at a disadvantage no matter what.

If I vote for myself with my only account, I get 1 vote but players with multiple accounts will have 3 votes.
With this suggestion, I will have 0 votes and everyone else will have 2 votes. In both cases, there's 2 points difference between me and the others. I still will need at least 2 outside votes to win in both cases. Therefore, it's no difference between 3 vs 2 votes. This suggestion will make no difference in the voting outcome as it will always require at least 2 votes to defeat those with multiple accounts.

And honestly, how do we even know if the winner cheated or not? The vote is anonymous. I've entered my horses into contests many times and I still won most of the contests despite only having one account. Therefore, it means that players are voting for me instead of their own entries. I've voted for other entries instead of mine and still won the contest. If people cheated all the time, I shouldn't be able to win any of the contests since I only had one vote and will never be able to beat players with 3 accounts. The fact that I've won many contests makes me think that it's not common for players to cheat.
