New Obsession... Possible new project?

So I've been breeding Quarter Horses and am currently on my 2nd generation. I have some very pretty ones too (I have an earlier post from a week or two ago already made!), but I just became obsessed with 2 new QH colors that I've noticed a bit and that seem pretty rare. 

Smoky Cream and Moreno! (Moreno more so... and I also like Smoky Cream Dun.)
They both seem like rare QH colors.

I've been thinking about starting another QH project where I strictly work on creating those two colors. 

The only thing that is keeping me right now from doing that is that I'm not too great with the genetics :/ 
I've been trying to teach myself a little right now on what colors of horses I'd need to create them.
Obviously I need Cream (CrCr) for both, then Seal Brown for Moreno and Black for Smoky Cream, but it's when I have to find the genetics and pair them that it becomes more time than I might be willing to invest.

Anyways, I thought I'd see what everybody else thinks? Or if anybody has any tips for just working on getting those two colors?
Perhaps that'll encourage me a bit!

for the moreno i got lucky to breed one - here (not owned by me anymore) but the sire was a seal brown and mom was a perlino dun c: 

actually i also bred a smokey cream from a buckskin and dunalino - he is here i am actually debating on selling him but i love his color so much lol

right now i am also obsessed with this boy with his cream coat and red hair :3 
i love quarter horse colors on this game lol

For breeding either color I would start by collecting smokey blacks & smokey creams (EE, Ee + Crcr, CrCr) any horse with brown & cream (AtAt, Ata, AAt + Crcr, CrCr) if you find any morenos or smokey creams then yay! (they are definitely rare qh colors, and you'll be competing with me to buy any morenos ;) 

For the first generation breed out any A you might have lingering about, and breed out as much e as you can.

AAt horses should be paired with AtAt or Ata. Any Aa, foals can be sold (since they might have cream they should sell well) if you have pairs bred 4 times keep the best creamy brown combinations you get. (If you get Ata CrCr, AAt CrCr, Aa Crcr, and AtAt Crcr) then I would keep foal 1 and 4, and sell the other two. Since you also need extension on these horses, you'll need to try preserving that too. Or breeding it back in later, which sounds easier than it is.

Smokey creams are much easier, breed smokey blacks together. If the horses are Ee & Ee when you breed smokey blacks together, you'll get smokey creams, cremellos, palominos, chestnuts, blacks, and smokey blacks. Keep the smokey creams & smokey blacks, sell everything else. If they are EE and EE or Ee you'll get rid of the chestnut base possibilities for that generation of pairing. (Also in trying to breed for moreno you might get some smokey creams as a by-product)

Also you might be speaking to a hoarder of all things brown (I'm still padding out my line of brown foundations, but soon I'll be ready to begin working with them.)

Madoka; they are alll so beautiful! I've always liked Champagne before, and I still do but now for some reason I'm obsessed with these creams! lol And if you ever do sell that Smokey Cream, give me a message and I'll consider buying!

Insomnia; Wow, thank you! That definitely gives me encouragement to start looking more into it! I have time this afternoon to start it up and I'm on spring break next week so will have more. 
I'd love to start this project off as foundations, but I fear that would get too difficult. I'll probably go on a hunt for those specific colors and see what I can collect. 
And if you have any browns that would work for this project, let me know :) 

It is very hard to collect enough browns to get a foundation project up and going. I'm still working to get enough stallys for this project. (though I might start them up anyway)

I don't have any for sell right now, but I will have some horses for breeding soon which might work for you. Also if you dig through the menagerie of chaos and find any foundations which spark your interest let me know, I might be willing to sell. (almost all the foundies in that division are rescues and have lower stats, I just grabbed them for color) foundations have ag. in their name, other gens are ag.2 or ag.3 etc. If you see a horse you think you need to have let me know, I might be willing to sell. Any horse in my personal hall-of-fame isn't for sell ;)

If you see a horse that you'd like to reserve a breeding from let me know; or if you'd like to get a custom foal from any of my qhs (you'll have to check pedigrees a lot of my horses are related at this point, and I won't do a custom that would have inbreeding in the pedigree). 

Well, just by looking at your menagerie of Chaos herd I can already see about 15 I'd love to have xD 
I'll message you and see which ones, if any, you'd be willing to sell :)  (Some of them are probably obvious as to why... You have such beautiful Smokey Creams already! I doubt you'll be willing to sell any of the Morenos xD)
If not, I for sure will be keeping an eye on that herd and in the future will be wanting to reserve a breeding!
