Is there a base range for confirmation in a foundation horse? Most I've seen are 35-62, but I've come across a couple of outliers that have 76-85+. Is that a fluke, or can you occasionally get really lucky?

45-60 is normal.

Horses with 70+ were most likely imported from the older version of EV. Since conformation changed when the game switched over some of the imported store horses have really high conformation.

Though if you buy horses from the custom horse creator they'll have 60-65.
