ApHC Club Thread/ Updates

With the updated requirements of conformation, I'm effectively leaving the club. I feel that it is detrimental to exclude otherwise good horses based on something that has yet to be figured out how to breed for.

I will no longer register any of my horses nor enter the breed shows.

I think Windspun has been doing what's best for the club and she has done a good job doing it!

I'm so sorry to hear that Kuk. I'm going by the votes and comments collected in the survey I took and what the majority has requested.

Just because horses have low confo now, doesnt mean it cant be built up through breeding down the road.. I have horses with low confo even in the low 40s but if their stats are good, I just look for a horse with higher confo and boost the foal's. I wont be able to register my low confo foals come Monday either..Its not just you that affected.. But in the long run, it improves the overall quality of the horses being produced.

The whole 'confo' thing has been a big issue across the boards with all breeds and players. Everyone has their preference as to the significance of comformation stats when judging the overall quality of a horse. I respect that totally.. but i know if I had two appys of similar quality in terms of bloodlines/stats etc in real life...I'd probably go for the appy with the halter winning conformation before the sway backed, ewe necked horse...just as an example tho..

Im so sorry to see you go..its so hard to please everyone..Im sure there will be many people who will be upset with the new registration changes be it conformation or higher stats...Im just trying to bring forward the wishes of the majority...

Stats can at least be changed via treating, showing, or training. Conformation can't.

confo can be improved on via breeding. I keep all my low confo horses and just breed them up for higher stats..


hmm..my appaloosa dream horse, would be any cream dilute. A bald face would be nice but not necessary.. **dreaming....** lolz

yes I tried to get the game started but there wasnt enough partiipation.. i neer accpeted a 'dream horse' because nobody posted one to offer me... they just asked 'is this your dream horse?' People werent understanding the game and again.not enough participants..The same thing happened with this game in 2 other clubs and it was cancelled in them as well due to lack of participation.

If you're looking for a "dream horse" feel free to post here in the thread,, however, I cant guarantee if anyone will respond

I just wanted to offer an apology for not getting a mega show in for today.. I had to lock my acconts briefly , as I spent the last 36 hours at my dog's side while she struggled through labor and the birth of 5 puppies..
It's her first litter, and she labored for 24 hrs... first puppy was a struggle for her to pass..once he was out..The rest came pretty quickly..
So sorry...
