A wild mare with three foals lives on the high hills, where the weather is cold up high, and warm down below. They roam the plains, and stay hidden from humans, or any dangers that could be lurking in the shadows of the mysterious land. Then, one day they come across another mare with one foal, who are also staying hidden from the dangers of the human farm that is placed on the very top of the hill. When they come across each other,

Dancer

Dancer's chesnut tail flicked from side to side, and her chesnut coat glittered in the sun. It was a hot day at the bottom of the hill, and her and Fire needed a drink and a rest. They had been travelling for ages to get to the top of the hill. Little did they know, that there was a wild horse taming ranch at the very peak of the hill. She let the ice col water swirl gently around her hooves, as she watched Fire lay down under a willow tree.

Fire took a gentle sip from the river and shuddered. It was cold. He

Claro looked into the river, reaching his neck into it. Then, he saw a fish zoom past him, almost brushing against his nose. "Whoa!" He cried, backing up quickly away from the river, frighted.

Dancer

Dancer sighed. It was a lot of trouble with one foal, that thought he was the largest stallion on the land. She watched as Fire got up and pawed the ground, trying to squash a frog. "Fire, leave the frog alone. Its not going to hurt you." She said half trying not to laugh.

Fire

Fire narrowed his eyes at the green slimy frog. "Come near me again and I will eat you." He muttered although the frog obviously couldn't hear him. He whinnied and responded to his mom. "But mom, its landed on my nose!" He half shouted. If he shouted any louder, the whole lad would hear him. He was pretty loud for his small age of 11 months.

"Th th the fish in there are trying to eat me!" He cried, bolting away from the river even more.

Dancer

Dancer sighed again. Soon she would run out of breath. "Come on, we're off to carry on the journey." She said and then, with Fire by her side she trotted between the trees.

Fire

Fire whinnied loudly and started to race along the banks, his hooves pounding the ground. His half thoroughbred half mustang breeding had obviously paid off for his speed.

Claro
"Bu bu but what if they bite me?" He stuttered, glancing in at them.

Dancer carried on on her long journey when she stopped and snorted. She could see a snake, and it was hissing at her venomously. She backed away and reared slightly. "Come on Fire, lets turn round." She said and then pushed Fire with her nose.

Fire

Fire looked at the snake with wide eyes. He went forward to sniff it, and it hissed again, close to his nose. He jumped back. "Woah!" He snorted and then shot off, his small fluffly tail streaming behnd him. He didn't stop, as he flew over a large branch.

Storm

Storm shuddered again as he took a small sip from the river. He reared up playfully and splashed in the water, although it was freezig.

Aleta

Dancer

Dancer shouted to Fire. "Woah Fire." She said as she went round the jump. She couldn't believ that she couldn't catch up with her own foal. He was fast.

Fire

Fire snorted as he heard hoof beats. It wasn't his mom, as she was coming from the opposite direction. Then he heard barking. A dog! "Mom, Mom there are dogs! And more horses!" He cried as his mom finally caught up with him.

Storm

Storm looked over at Claro. "Claro come onnnn. They are fish. They wont hurt you. You should watch a dog instead. They will rip you to pieces." Storm knew he wasn't helping matters.
