This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, Zest, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!

Really drives me bonkers that half of the clubs are inactive on here, especially breed specific ones (I,e thoroughbred, Andalusian, etc). So I am proposing kinda a halved suggestion here, something that makes it so clubs can't really go inactive.

Maybe something like a new president to be sworn in after 1-3 months of inactivity from a club (no monthly dues paid), or it falls onto the admins once the monthly dues are abandoned?

I understand people get busy, have lives outside the game etc, but if you can no longer be president, why let the club rot? I don't know, just throwing some thoughts around and was hoping to get opinions.

I certainly agree with this, as Admin of one of the clubs with an inactive owner and bugged Admin features, I hate seeing the club die simply because I can do just about nothing for it. So while I can see how it would be disappointing to come back to EV after a while of not logging on for some reason that might not be your choice, only to see that you are no longer the owner of your club, I definitely support this!

An idea: after 1 month of owner inactivity, the admin gets owner status, and if the owner logs back in there could either be 2 owners or admin gets reverted back.

It would really stink to put so much money into a club (as an owner), and then have it taken from you (especially if you had no control over your life situation).

No support. I do agree, that "rotting clubs" are kind of lame but if I had a club, I wouldn't want to come back to find it is owned by someone else because I had an extensive hiatus would suck. Maybe a better idea, to me, would be for the club to completely be disbanded after "x" amount of time?

^ you'd rather have your club deleted entirely than taken over by someone else? wouldn't that be even worse? if this sounds hostile, that was not my intent
I support this, for the breed clubs especially

I think this would work for the main breed clubs, but not so sure about individually owned/created clubs

i think there should really be two types of clubs.  first you'd have, like, game-owned clubs for all the breeds, and then member-owned clubs.  that way the breed clubs could never really die.  i'm not really sure how the game-owned clubs could work (i've seen from other games that voting for club presidents usually gets very mixed results), but it's just an idea i wanted to throw out there.

I support this!

A lot awesome clubs have become inactive, and trust me when that happens, honestly it makes my day.

@Deadpot

That's not a good idea as breeders use clubs to get together for a hub of information and that shouldn't be taken from us because you can't take care of a club. Yes it sucks but what sucks more is paying to join a club and then not being able to utilize because the owner bailed whether intentional or not.

I'd rather it go to the admin as well, and then when the owner comes back either the admin goes back to admin or the president goes to admin? Something along those lines so the club does not rot.

I support if, when the club becomes inactive, the admin/s take over until the owner comes back. If the owner never comes back then the admins will just stay in charge. I’m not sure if that will work but I’ll chuck it out there anyway XD

Why not have a co-owner or owner number two? Or just give "Admin" full control over the club to begin with? I'm not sure. Just a thought.

What would the point be of an Admin if they had full control over the club? I think that should be a last ditch solution when the owner/club becomes inactive.

I agree with Deadpoo. I would hate to have spent the money on a club that if you haven't done anything for a while be taken over. No support here!

So how is it fair to the members who pay monthly fees to see the club rot?
