"And if we do come across one of these... monsters?" He said fearfully.

Alex
Alex chuckled quietly, making sure not to bump Jade as he walked. "If we do encounter a monster...." He paused, knowing that Jade wouldn't like what he was going to say next. "You take Jade and run. I'll keep Kahlen with me - if they think she's dead or unconscious they'll leave her alone. Jade's bleeding; they'll do anything to get to her."

Auberon
"Pfft that's no fun." Auberon said under his breath. "Fine. But if I think you need it- which knowing you tactics of wrestling- I will come help you."

Jade
She looked up. "Hold on, do I not get a say in this? I don't want you doing anything stupid just to be all heroic and Alex-y." She frowned at him. "And besides, who's to say Auberon won't attract the monsters by running away with the bleeding person? They might give chase. This plan has a lot of flaws."

Auberon gave a slight chuckle. "She's smart you know." he said. 

Alex
"No, you don't get a say, and yes, I know it has a lot of flaws. I'm just winging it at this point and helping for the best." He grinned up at Auberon, giving Jade a little squeeze. "Yeah, I know. Thank god for that."

Auberon
"So, between the two of you, which one has saved the other more?" he asked curiously. After he said it he realized that it was such a random question, but he shrugged it off. Whats said is whats said.

Jade
She grumbled under her breath and was about to tuck her head back when Auberon posed his question. "Alex has probably saved me more," she grumbled begrudgingly, and buried her head against Alex.

Alex
Alex snickered under his breath. "Hey, you still have time to redeem yourself." He quietened down when they reached the treeline, Alex quickening his pace, gaze flicking between Jade and the camp.

Auberon
Auberon followed close behind Alex, making sure he didn't disturb Kahlen. He was trying to think of another question to ask. "Hey, what do you know about that girl, Eudora?" he finally asked.

Alex
"Not a lot." Alex whispered back. "Before the medics brought her over to us, I'd never seen her before in my life."

Auberon
"Oh." Auberon said quietly.

Lena

Lena had been a medic and had helped Denver the whole time. She watched Alex bring Jade and ran to help him. "Is she alright?" Turning to the other boy, and saw Kahlen and rushed over to him. "By the gods, is she alright?"

Auberon
"Yes she is fine." He said smilling and giving her a slight nod.

Lena

"Thank goodness, I am Lena, you?" She smiled and helped them get the girls closer to safety
