Carter

Carter nodded with a laugh, "Okay, as long as you're on your best behavior." He gave her another quick kiss, trying to pull away before she began to tickle him again. "Hey, no fair," he spoke between fits of laughter, feeling wet slobbery kisses all over him. "I'm outnumbered." The fits of laughter took over as he squirmed around on the bed, trying to free himself of the attacks, but there was no where to go. "Enough, enough, stop please," he spoke out of breathe, "can't breathe." His chest rose and fell rapidly as he tried to control his breathing, taking deep breathes of air. He exhaled deeply, looking back at Morgan with a mischievous smile. "I'll get you back for this." He took another deep breathe of air, rolling over on his back, turning his head to check the clock on the nightstand. "I suppose I need to get ready and head out." He rolled back over, giving Morgan a quick kiss before sliding out of bed and heading to the bathroom to get ready. Putting on a red Coca-Cola t-shirt and a pair of dark wash jeans, he slid on his tennis shoes and walked back into the bedroom, giving each dog a pat on the head. He picked up his phone once more checking his messages. 'Doc said the rabbits are perfectly healthy!' Carter smiled at the good news, replying 'Great! Thanks for the update.' Another ding came from his phone. 'A mama dog and her puppies have also come in. No one has been able to get close to the puppies since we brought them in. Mama is being aggressive." Carter sent another quick text, shoving his phone in his pocket and grabbing his wallet and keys. "I'm leaving now," he said to Morgan, leaning in to kiss her, "I love you. See you later" He placed another kiss on her lips, lingering for a moment before pulling back with a smile. "Bye." His gaze turned to the three dogs on the bed wagging their tails. "You children be good," he joked with them, pointing a playful finger at them and earning a loud bark from Pearl. He laughed, shaking his head at them. He began to walk out of the bedroom before stopping in his tracks and peeking his head back in. "Almost forgot, we might need assistance with an aggressive dog with puppies." He smiled, turning and finally leaving. "Bye guys," he said simply, waving to Addy and Simon on the porch before getting in the car. 

Simon

Simon laughed at Addy's reaction, nodding at her explanation. "Yay," he said excitedly, laughing at how childish it sounded. He listened to Addy talk about another gorgeous horse. "I'm beginning to become jealous of all these horses that your hanging around," he said with a fake pout on his face. "Perhaps I need to come visit you at work more often. Can't have you falling madly in love with one of them." He laughed, bringing Addy in for a kiss. The feeling never got old with him. He let the kiss linger for a moment longer before pulling away. "Perhaps we should go get ready," he spoke after a moment. Buffy rounded back around the house, bounding up the front steps, her paws and muzzle covered in dirt. "Buffy," Simon exclaimed, "What are you digging up now?" He shook his head at her, earning a playful bark. His attention turned to Carter walking out the door, "Bye, Carter." He waved back at Carter, watching as a dirty Buffy slid in the house just before the door closed, joining Gemni in a playful game of herding the cats. The sound of Mickey and Minnie hissing came from under the couch. Mickey batting his paw out at the canines, a deep growl forming in his throat. His tail flicking back and forth in sync with Minnie's.

Morgan

Stopping the tickling and commanding the dogs to stop with a short high pitched whistle. “That’s good that all of them are healthy.” Light blue eyes shining picturing the little bunnies and then nodding at what Carter said about finding an aggressive mother dog with her puppies. “Call me if she still won’t come and I’ll try working my magic touch.” Giving a wink and kissing him back before he got up to get ready. Hearing his ‘I love you’ making her heart always skip a beat or two. “Love you more. “ Smiling and rolling off the bed going to the closer and turning on the light going to her side pulling out a navy blue shirt that had the saying “If my dog doesn’t like you then I probably won’t either.”  Stepping and pulling out light faded blue jeans getting changed now into the outfit. “You guys behave.” Looking at Ryker and Pearl before patting her side for Pepper to follow her. Walking out of the bed run throwing her long strawberry red hair into a ponytail and going to the dog bin. Crouching down and unsnapping the sides and moving the lid, pulling out a long ten foot leash. Clipping it to Pepper and picking up the tennis ball and treats with the clicker. Walking to the front of the house and opening the door “Hey guys.” Smiling st Addy and Simon before walking down the stairs and into the yard. Sitting down quietly with Pepper attached to the leash. “Sit....down...up” giving the three basic commands to him and holding out her palm and moving her hands and fingers in the signals she had trained him before with. Pausing and bringing out her phone of the back pocket unlocking it and pulling up her first conversation already in the phone Carter’s. Fingers tapping quickly on the IPhone sending the message to him that said “Be careful with Mama dog and Call me if you need me to come in, xoxo Morgan.” Sending it and putting he rphone down in the pile of stuff for training. 

Addy

Shaking her head and giggling “Well you do have a better chance with me since the horses can’t speak.” Nodding to Carter and then turning to Simon with a grin shakin her head in conformation. Watching as Morgan came out the door with Pepper and walking towards the yard sitting in it. “Good luck with Pepper. Simon and I are going to the horse barn for a while text him or me if you need anything.” Picking up her plate and mug and opening the door going into the kitchen. Putting her stuff down in the sink and walking quickly to her and Simon’s shared room. Walking to the closet and putting on a purple tank top with dark blue jeans and walking back out. Going to the counter and picking up her keys and wallet “C’mon slow poke even the senior horses move faster than you.” Giving a giggle and walking to the front door and sliding into her cowboy boots, opening the door and exiting the house. Blinking her hazel-green eyes Addy walked to the blue equinox she drove and opened it up getting behind the wheel and waiting for Simon to join her. Gemni giving another bark before sticking her nose under once more time pulling away and jumping on the couch with another high pitched bark. 

Carter

Carter pulled out of the drive in his black suv, making his way down the road towards the rescue center. It was about a twenty minute drive from the house, practically halfway between his house and his aunt's. A ding came to his phone as he approached a stop light, checking the message received from Morgan. 'Will do ;),' he texted a reply before tossing his phone down in the passenger seat next to him and drive again. The ringing of his phone caught his attention, reading the caller id as his mom. Pressing a button, he accepted the phone call. "Hey mom," he spoke loudly. "Hey honey, what have you been up to," his mother asked softly. "Nothing really, just on my way to work, how about you and dad?" "Just relaxing, enjoying a few days off you know." Carter nodded as if she could see him before realizing that she couldn't. "Yeah." A moment of silence passed over them, long enough for Carter to feel the need to check to make sure we still on the other end of the line. "Your father and I have been thinking about coming down to visit, Kyle too." "Really?" The sound of his mother's laugh came over the speaker, "Don't sound so excited now." Carter laughed along with her. "So when are you going to introduce that girl, what's her name, Morgan? You know we've all been really wanting to meet her." Carter blushed at the thought of his family meeting Morgan. It just really hadn't occured to him until his mom brought it up. "You can't hide her from your crazy family forever." Carter laughed at his mom's persistent words before speaking up, "Alright, Alright I got it." "Good. Well I have to go now, your father is bothering me about who knows what this time. Love you, talk to you later." "Bye mom, love you too," he replied hitting the end call button. He pulled around to the back of the rescue center, parking the car and stepping out. Walking into the air conditioned building, he was immediately greeted by Joseph and Sam, the two people that have been with him since the beginning of the rescue center. "Hey guys, where are those rabbits you texted me about," he greeted the two of them, getting right down to business.

Simon

Simon smiled, happy that Addy told him he had no competition with the horses. "Good," he said, giving her a kiss on the cheek laughing. "Hey," he spoke to Morgan warmly, watching her for a few moments as she worked with Pepper. "He's looking better, definitely has come out of his shell more," commented with a smile before getting up from the bench and carrying the dishes inside to the sink to be washed later. Addy had already gotten dressed and ready, Simon laughing at her comment. "I'm going I'm going, no need to be in such a rush," he said sarcastically laughing as he walked into the bedroom and to the closet, sliding on plain blue and gray striped t-shirt with a pocket on the chest of it, pairing it with some dark jeans and his dark drown boots. He grabbed his phone and wallet off the nightstand next to the bed, stuffing both in his pockets and made his way out the door. "Bye Morgan," he waved to her before climbing in the passenger seat next to Addy. 

Morgan

Watching as Pepper obeyed the commands and turning her head and the sound of her text tone going off reading the message and putting it back on the ground. Standing up and waving bye to Addy and Simon before setting the leash down and holding her hand out “Stay.....stay.....” saying it slowly and backing up a couple feet before calling Pepper to her side again. “What a handsome boy who’s a handsome little boy.” Making her voice get all high and excited for him hiking out a treat and passing it to him with a smile. “Pepper go get the ball.” Pointing towards the ball on the ground and standing up walking away to the other side of the yard with her back turned as part of the training with him. Dropping a treat once Pepper came to her. “Good boy good boy.” She repeated softly petting Pepper in between his neck fluff, grinning and planting a kiss on his head before sitting down once more watching a Pepper with a content look on her face. Ryker jumping in the bed of Carter’s and Modgan’s Wagging his butt and giving a loud playful bark that echoed through the house wanting any other dog to come play with  him.

Addy

Watching with her hazel-green eyes as Simon walked to the car getting in. Handing her phone to Simon and backing out of the driveway. Starting on her drive to the barn which was fifteen minutes away and not a long drive for her. “I’m glad you came with me, that your so understanding with my love for horses.” Blinking her hazel-green eyes and turning to Simon for a moment and then back to the road she was driving on. After a while Addy grinned “This is where I work Suger Creek Stables, where all the prestige and snobby horse owners are but hey it’s good pay.” Laughing and turning into the long gravel driveway to the barn and stopping it in her parking space. Undoing her seatbelt and grinning widely “C’mon Crimm I wanna show you Ransom.” Jokingly calling Simon by his last name which she did occasionally since it did have a nice ring to it when she let it roll off her tongue. Getting out and waiting till Simon got out before lacing her hand with his and tugging forward to the big barn that held all the horses. Sliding open the door and seeing other horse rides walking down the aisle and getting ready to start for the day. “Ransom’s in Stall seven...maybe you can meet his owner...” Smiling and leading him to Ransom’s stall and stopping at the stall with a smile. “Isn’t he so handsome?” Asking Simon the quedtion before stepping foreward and holding out her hand. Ransom opened his brown eyes snorting when he saw Addy. Stepping foreward the sleek black gelding pressed his muzzle through the opening of the stall breathing softly onto Addy’s hand.

Carter

Carter walked down the hallway behind Joseph and Sam, entering into a room housing small rodents, reptiles, and birds. He peered into one of the cages, four little fuzzballs huddled together in one massive ball of fluff. He opened the door, gently grabbing one of the rabbits, a brown and white one, holding it close to his chest as he looked it over. "Jonah said they were perfectly healthy, no issues with them whatsoever, maybe a little under weight but that's no biggie," Sam spoke, her eyes on Carter. He nodded in response, "Good, they'll be able to find new homes quickly." Putting the small rabbit back with the rest of the others, it hopped back over to the others and huddled back in place. Carter's eyes watched them for a moment before latching the cage closed. "What about the aggressive dog with puppies," he asked, his eyes shifting back over to Joseph and Sam, "Any progress on her?" Joseph and Sam shook their head simultaneously. "We've left her alone since I texted you, so that she could settle down in the new surroundings," Sam spoke again. 

Simon

Simon buckled his seatbelt as Addy began to pull out of the drive, setting her phone in his lap. "Of course," he replied with a smile on his face. His eyes turned back to the road, reading a sign that said 'Sugar Creek Stables'. He had to admit, it was fancy, nodding at Addy's explanation. The car bumped along on the gravel drive and it soon came to a stop next to the barn. Simon slowly unbuckled and opened the door, stepping out and looking the barn up and down before following behind Addy, a smile on his face. "You mean the horse I'm in competition for with your love," he commented jokingly with a laugh. Grabbing a hold of her hand and lacing his fingers with hers, he walked beside her into the barn, making a turn and walking down past a few stalls with some horses inside. They stopped in front of one of the stalls, a large black gelding standing on the other side of the door. Simon peered in at the horse nodding, "I can agree with you on that." He reached his arm between the bars, raising his hand and stroking the gelding on the neck before pulling away. Out of the corner of his eye, Simon saw someone walking their way. He looked over his shoulder, his eyes meeting with familiar ones. "Simon," his voice spoken uncertainly. Simon gulped, "Hayley?" He paused for a moment, seeing the one person he thought he would never see again in this lifetime. "What are you doing here," he questioned, Hayley rolling her eyes. "I could ask you the same thing, you've never showed any interest in horses before," Hayley responded, her gaze shifting to the horse in the stall behind Simon, "Looking to buy him, he's beautiful isn't he. Too bad him and I don't get along." Simon looked back at the gelding, opening his mouth to speak but getting cut off. "And you must be the one working with Ransom," Hayley spoke, addressing Addy. 

Morgan

Picking up Pepper easily since he was medium sized and carrying him into the house. Setting him gently and calling the dogs to there crates and shutting them in with water bowls in then while she was gone. Taking her keys and wallet from the bookcase and walking outside locking the house on her way out and then walking to her small red chevy truck and getting in. Starting it up and backing it out of the driveway and throwing her phone in the passenger seat. Driving to Carter’s workplace that he owned and worked at. Stopping at the small gas station and parking her car in the available space. Getting out and walking into the small store and walking to the coffee stand and getting five iced coffees and five chocolate chip cookies. Walking to the car with the stuff and putting it in the back. Getting in and after ten more minutes of driving reaching the animal rescue center. Taking the coffees and cookies in the bag and walking to the building and entering it greeting the receptionist with a smile. Nodding her head and dropping one coffee and cookie off with her: “Can you buzz Carter and tell him his red haired admirer  is here?” Grinning and sitting down with her cups of coffee and cookies in the bags for the boys. The receptionist nodded with a smile and picking up the small office phone pressing Carter’s number in “Mr.Beck a special red haired admirer is here for you and she says it’s important.” 

Addy

Giggling at Simon’s reaction to Ransom and nodding her head holding a treat for him. Watching as a girl walked up to Ransom’s stall and Simon and her talking for a moment. Blinking her hazel-green eyes and looking at Simon to Hayley and back before taking a step back behind Simon and turning a shade of red. “I’m Addalyn and this is Simon my boyfriend.....care to introduce me babe?” Blinking her hazel-green eyes and offering another treat to the handsome black horse in the stall who took it eagerly from her. Nodding her head at Hayley’s question “I’ve been working on refreshing basic ground work and in the saddle with his jumping and taking it slow....I’ve interviewed a couple perpesctive owners that are interested in him....” Clearing her throat and inhaling a breath looking from Simon to Hayley again with confusion in her hazel-green eyes “How do you two know each other?” Question and uncertainty lacing her soft words and squeezing Simon’s hand nervously hoping he would tell the truth for her sake and peace of mind.

Carter

Carter nodded before hearing his phone and answering it, hearing the receptionist. He cheeks turned a shade of red, "Did she tell you to say that? Alright, be there in a minute." He put the phone back, looking back at Sam and Joseph. "Special visitor," Joseph questioned Carter. Carter simply nodded before pushing the door open and stepping out. He walked his way to the front, pulling the last set of doors open. "Hey," Carter spoke with a smile, wrapping his arms around Morgan, "How was Pepper?" He leaned in giving her a kiss before realizing she was holding coffee and cookies in her hand. "I'll take those," he offered, grabbing the bag and cup holder. Giving Morgan another kiss, "Come on, I just saw the baby rabbits." He motioned through to the door he had just came through, pushing the handle with his elbow and holding it open for Morgan to walk through before letting it close behind them.

Simon

Simon brought Addy closer, looking from her to Hayley. "Oh, this is Hayley-," Simon began but getting cut off by Hayley once again. "His ex-girlfriend," Hayley said proudly. Simon snorted at Hayley's boldness, "That's the nicest way to put it." He looked back at Addy, not paying any attention to the look of fake hurt on Hayley's face. "I can't believe you would say such things about me," Hayley said with a gasp, holding a hand to her chest dramatically, causing Simon to roll his eyes. The clacking of boots came from behind him and Addy, followed by another familiar voice. "Simon is that you?" Simon turned his head, meeting gazes with his brother. "Oh, babe we were just catching up, Simon and I," Hayley pipped up, running over to Bailey, Simon's brother. Simon caught on quickly to the situation unfolding, looking away just in time to not see Hayley kiss his brother. "And is this your girlfriend," Bailey said cheerfully with a grin from ear to ear. Simon nodded, "Yes, this is Addy, Addy this is my brother Bailey." Not that it was hard to tell that they were brothers. The had the same dark hair and brown eyes, and even the same nose. The only thing noticeably different was that Bailey was a few inches taller. 

Morgan

Grinning widely and kissing Carter back once she pushed herself into his arms and noticed the coffee and cookies. “You have to share mines still there and the boys coffee and cookies are there.” Giggling and giving another kiss with light blue eyes brighting “Pepper did amazing with all of the training I put him through today.....now can we see those babies?” Giving a little grin and following after Carter with slight skip in her step. “Not only did I bring the coffee and cookies for you and your friends here but, also as a bribe to see the babies....even though my kisses could guarantee a free way in.” Grinning and leaning into Carter’s side as they walked through the small hallway towards the back of the rescue. “Or I need a badge for all time clearance to get in here since I’m a V.I.K or a V.I.M” Laughing and wrapping a arm around his waist as they walked and stopping at the door. “After you dear.” Holding open the door for him to go in first with the coffee and cookies in the bag.


Addy

Hazel-green eyes widening a bit as she heard what Hayley said that she was his ex.girlfriend. Addy stepping back a bit and analyzing Hayley for a brief moment. Biting her lip as Hayley exaggerated a gasp and clutched her hand to her chest. Rolling her hazel-green eyes and then turning towards another person who came up another boy looking like Simon but, taller than him and his nose different than Simon’s. Nodding her head quietly and holding out her hand with a small smile “I’m A-Ad-Addalyn....A-Ad-Addy is more reserved for people I closely know so it’s Addalyn ......yes I’m his girlfriend.....” looking to Simon and leaning closer into his side and squeezing it tighter digging her nails in letting out a little shiver that made her hand twitch in Simon’s hand. Watching as Simon turned away from watching Bailey and Hayley kiss and gulping roughly. “I-um uh Hay-Hayley I wanted to ask you a question about R-Ransom and his price you have s-set.” Addy stuttering the sentence and blinking her hazel-green eyes softly. “I-um somewhere not here so I can tell you what I had in m-mind....” hand unlacing from Simon’s hand she had the death grip on and body screaming to latch back tightly. Ignoring the tingling feeling in her hand from wanting to get back into Skmon’s hold and following after Hayley to somewhere private to talk. Once at the end of the barn in the secluded spot and breathing heavily in and back out looking at the floor and then back up “I u-um m-my offer is 1,200 for him and I can’t go any higher....w-would you c-consider that....” Stuttering and looking back to Hayley looking at her face complexion and how it had a soft glow to it and her olive tan body.

Carter

Carter walked behind Morgan down the hall, "Fine, I suppose I can share." He laughed eyeing the delicious cookies in the bag. "And this is a very good bribe, food is just the way to my heart," he added with another laugh, "kisses too." He slowed down rounding the corner and stopped at the door behind Morgan, walking through first to see Joseph and Sam having a conversation with the Cockatoo. "Hmmm I'll think about it," he joked to Morgan. "Hey guys, Morgan brought cookies and coffee," Carter caught the two's attention. "Aww thanks," Sam said with a cheeky smile, taking a cup of coffee and a cookie from the bag. "Yeah, thanks," Joseph added, taking his share as well. Carter held the bag towards Morgan, allowing for her to take her cookie and cup of coffee before he took his own. Taking a bite of the soft cookie, he pointed with a finger towards one of the cages. "The rabbits are in there." He took a slow slip of his coffee, taking a few steps over to the cage and looking inside, the rabbits now hopping around and not in one big fluffball anymore. 

Simon

Simon squeezed Addy's hand, his eyes watching her as she spoke. Her grip had tightened around him, worrying Simon slightly. He held her closer to him, watching Bailey smile widely. "Well it's nice to finally meet you Addalyn," Bailey spoke. Simon nodded, feeling the situation become rather uncomfortable until Addy spoke up. His eyes watched her carefully, hesitantly letting his hold on her loosen. "Uh, yeah, I suppose," Hayley responded, looking at Simon and Bailey before walking away from them with Addy following. Simon watched the two girls walk away from them, before turning his attention back to his brother. "So you and Hayley, huh," he questioned his brother curiously, "When did that happen?" Bailey laughed at Simon's interrogation, shaking his head with a smile on his face, "A few months ago." Simon nodded, his gaze looking back over at where Addy and Hayley were standing. "And I can't go any lower than 5,000, you and I both know that Ransom is worth far more than what you're bargaining," Hayley scoffed, rolling her eyes at Addy.

Morgan

Nodding her head as the other boy’s thanked her. Taking her cookie and coffee they Carter was holding with a smile. Walking over to the cage and looking at the baby rabbits facial expression showing a smile planted on her face. “Anything baby makes me happy....” Grinning and taking a sip of the iced coffee before placing it on the table and going back to the cage “C-can I hold just one of them....please”  Looking to Carter and rising One eyebrow with a little smile and looking back towards the cage like a kid in a candy shop. Morgan blinked her light blue eyes again before looking to the other boys in the room “Who’s on my side with me being able to have a V.I.M pass?” Giggling at her made up expression and then picking up her iced coffee again and taking a long sip and placing it back down. “If you let me hold one I’ll fix you dinner and you I’ll do whatever you want for a whole day along with free kisses?”  Raisig her eyebrow at the offer she made and stepping back towards the bunny cage with a smile and longing to hold one shining in her light blue eyes.

Addy

Hearing Hayley’s decline and scoff at her offer for Ransom. Rocking back in her heels and biting her lip and blinking her hazel-green eyes softly. “Do you really care about what sorta home he goes into....or is it just about the money and part of it being because I’m dating Simon.....” stuttering her words with hot liquid tears brimming in them. “P-Please just consider my offer for Ransom.....I’ve clicked and bonded with him and you haven’t even been part of his consistent training schedule I have for him....” pausing and blinking her tear filled gaze and looking to the floor and back to Hayley trying to hold her composure together. “Ransom’s more than just a horse to me he’s my friend and one I’ve bonded with and my offer is still the same at 4,200....” Light Hazel-green eyes pleading with her and glancing towards Simon and back to Hayley “Leave him out of the deal and bargain and we can try to work something out....please.....” biting her lip once more and poking towards the floor.

Carter

Carter laughed at Morgan's chilidish pleads to hold one of the baby rabbits, giving in to the look she was giving him. "Yes, you can hold on of them," he said with a shake of his head. He finished off his cookie, plopping the last bite in his mouth and savoring it. He washed the rest of the bits down with a sip of coffee, placing the cup on the table next to where Morgan had placed hers and walked over to a cage holding an old Guinea Pig that was blind in one eye. "Hey there Bob," he spoke softly filling the food and water dish up before closing the cage. He moved to the other occupied cages of various animals, filling their food and water as well before moving back to stand next to Morgan with the baby rabbits. Placing a kiss on her cheek, he turned his attention back to Joseph and Sam. "We still need to go see the dog with puppies," he spoke, both of them nodding in response. The two boys looked back at Morgan when she asked them a question, a smile growing on their faces as they turned back to Carter. "You mean you haven't given your own girlfriend a pass," Joseph spoke, laughing and shaking his head. Carter smirked, turning back to Morgan. "Are you trying to play them against me," he asked playfully, "If you insist I'll give you one, but that'll cost you extra kisses."

Simon

Simon watched Addy and Hayley, giving Addy a small smile when she looked his way. Hayley watched Addy, smirking as she saw tears brimming in Addy's eyes. She folded her arms across her chest, "Ransom is just a horse and an expensive one at that, I'm merely asking rock bottom price. I could probably sell him way more than what I'm asking for." Hayley rolled her eyes at the mention of Simon. "As for Simon, I'm not worried about him. He'll get tired of you eventually," she spat bitterly, clearly done with the conversation. Looking over to Simon and Bailey. she sent a wink Bailey's way getting one in return from him. Leaning in towards Addy, whispering in her ear, "You see, no one can truly stop having feelings for their first love... and Simon is no different." A laughter escaped from her mouth before quickly composing herself. "Anyways I think we are done here, there's nothing else to talk about." Calling out to Bailey, he walked over placing an arm around her waist and with a smile Hayley walked off to another part of the barn. Simon walked over to Addy, grabbing a hold of her hand and giving it a small squeeze. "Is everything okay," he asked noticing her expression. 

Morgan

Smiling and nodding her head as he gave her permission to hold one of the baby bunnies. Nodding with a sly smile on her face “If it really comes to it they’ll pick me....I bring snacks and fun.” Giggling and nodding her head with a smile “Will it say Very Important Morgan?” Raising a brow and kissing his cheek and leaning up whispering words only audible for his ears with a devious smile forming “Our tickle fight continues back home and I intend to win.” Dropping back to her feet and unlatching the cage they were in. Picking up a little black and white one holding it close to her. Morgan blinked her light blue eyes face contorting in happiness with getting to hold the baby bunny. “I can help with the mom and pups if she’s still antsy.....” Turning to Carter and giving a little kiss to the baby bunny and standing close to Carter and leaning into his side. “You know guys if you ever want to overthrow your boss here......” motioning with her head towards Carter and grinning “You can always just tell him I’m outside and I need him....he’d come in a heartbeat...” Grinning up at him and blinking her light blue eyes back to the baby bunny planting another soft kiss to his head. Hearing her phone start ringing and passing the bunny to Carter sliding her phone out of her pocket. Seeing it was Addy’s face pop up on the screen and then hitting it to answer. Hearing a crying Addy on the end and flinching at the loudness of her sobs and jumbled words. “Honey, listen it’s going to be ok.....I’m leaving now and we can talk about it....ok Addy” Hearing the line go silent and turning her phone off from the call. “Um babe it’s Addy....apparently issues occurred and I’m needed pronto....” Grabbing her keys and wallet she placed on the table and picking up her slow pace into a fast jog to get to her car and get to the crying Addy.


Addy

Hearing Hayley’s strong words like a cobra latching onto it’s target and spreading the venom into her veins. Lip wobbling and breathing increasing hearing about how Hayley thought of Ransom. Hand covering her mouth when Hayley said that Simon would come back to Haley and get tired of being with her. Addy gulped feeling her body tense at the harsh words before leaving her to go to Bailey. Flinching her body involuntarily as Simon grabbed her hand. “F-fine.....” pulling her hand away from Simon’s like it was ice and flexing it for a moment “I....u....I’m....excuse me.....” Swallowing the lump in her throat and turning walking to the bathroom tears starting to come out of her hazel-green eyes turning on the light and quickly locking the door behind her. Clutching the sink with her hands and increasing her grip as more hot liquid tears rolled down her face. Hearing a ding and pulling out her phone looking at the text from her two clients for the day both canceled for sickness. Punching the numbers to Morgan’s cell phone as hot tears streamed down her face hearing Morgan pick up on the other side relief washing over her “M-M-Morgan.....b-barn.....bathroom....ex.....crying....” sobbing the incoherent words into the phone and then powering off her phone and sliding her back against the wall and sitting down hugging her knees and crying into them. 

Carter

Carter smiled at her words that she whispered in his ear. "Are you so sure about that," he whispered back, giving her a kiss on the cheek. Sam and Joseph had slipped out of the room, leaving Carter and Morgan alone. He watched her hold on of the baby bunnies, grabbing another one for himself, a solid blue color with long fluffy fur on its ears and around its neck. He stroked the baby, holding it close. It nibbled at Carter's finger, making him pull away and place the bunny back in the cage. Carter nodded at Morgan's offer to help before she got a call and picked it up, handing the rabbit she had been holding to him. Carter's eyes watched as her facial expression changed and she spoke to Addy through the phone. Before he had time to ask what was going on, Morgan was leaving. "Let me know if everything's okay," he called after her, before turning and heading in the opposite direction down the hall to the dog kennels. 

Simon

Simon's face turned to a confused expression then one of hurt when Addy pulled away from his touch. His eyes watched as she walked away. What had happened between her and Hayley? He opened his mouth to speak, taking a step in Addy's direction, but he stopped in his tracks. He didn't know what to do. He was utterly confused by what was going on. He sighed, running a hand through his hair, walking over to the opposite wall and sitting down, waiting for Addy to appear from the bathroom. 

Morgan 

Jogging to her car and opening it up and starting it up. Backing out of her parking space and driving to the barn where Addy texted the address too. Seeing the sign for the farm after fourteen minutes of driving and putting on her signal to turn. Driving down the gravel road and parking beside Addy’s car and springing our of the car like it was on fire. Morgan running towards the barn and stopping to open it. Making her way to the bathroom and blinking her light blue eyes to Simon in worry. Knocking on the door and pausing for a moment “Hey Addy, honey it’s me Morgan....please open up......I’m worried honey....” breaking up her sentence slowly and then hearing the door unlock and it opening for her to come in. Hugging Addy in her arms and sitting down next to her. “Sweetheart what happened?” Morgan paused blinking her light blue eyes to Addy and listening to the story she told about Ransom and what Hayley said about Simon would get tired and bored of her. Rubbing a hand in a circle on her back slowly trying to comfort Addy. “Honey, Hayley has nothing better to do with her life and is just jealous that Simon has you and your way better looking than her. Addy, Simon loves you and will move mountains for you he’s outside worried about you.” Morgan took a breath and stood up after twenty minutes of calming Addy down and unlocked the door motioning for Simon to come in.

Addy

Still sobbing in her tears and hearing a loud knock on the door flinching and scrambling to unlock it at the sound of Morgan’s voice. Hugging Morgan with hot tears streaming from her hazel-green eyes and sitting down next to Morgan with a frown planted on her face. “S-so I met Hay-Hayley his ex...” choking the sentence out and then fumbling with her fingers for a brief moment and continuing “Well she’s dating his brother and I figured everything’s fine between them and so I talked to H-Hayley and she basically said that I’m too poor for Ransom and that S-si-Simon is just using me and will get tired of me and go to her!” More tears streaming down her face and gripping Morgan tightly. Hearing Morgan’s words that Simon loved her and was worried for her. Sobs quieting down and nodding her head indicating he could come in finally. Addy blinking her hazel-green tear filled eyes watched as Morgan opened the door motioning for Simon to come. “S-Si-mon... d-don’t l-leave m-m-me.....” tears streaming again and holding out her hands and making them grabby in Simon’s direction. “P-please p-please p-pa-please don’t leave me.....I need you....” hazel-green eyes filled with conflicting emotions and the want for him to be close as possible. 

Carter

Walking into the dog kennels, Carter's ears were hit by the sounds of the barks and howls of just about every single dog housed in the room. He ignored them all, walking to the back of the room, spotting a dog he hadn't seen before. A lab mix female, curled up in the blankets with seven little puppies stumbling around blindly, a few of them just barely having opened their eyes. The dog eyed him warily, her ears perked in his direction as her eyes followed his every move. Carter kneeled in front of the kennel door, looking in at the canine, pulling a treat from his pocket. "You want some food," he cooed to the canine, getting her attention. The lab mix stood to her paws, her tail tucked between her legs, hesitantly taking a single step forward. Carter unlatched the door, opening it just a hair offering the treat to her. She stretched forward, trying to get the treat out of his hand without getting any closer. She quickly took the treat, stepping back away and dropping the treat from her mouth before picking it back up and scarfing it down. Carter pulled out another treat and did the same thing, the canine taking it just the same as she had before. Carter got up on his feet, latching the door closed and walking into the side room housing all the food and supplies, taking a can of wet food and mixing it with some dry food. He went back to the mama dog, unlatching the cage once more and set down the food dish, kneeling back down at the entrance of the kennel. The canine took a few steps, watching Carter carefully before scarfing down the food, licking the bowl practically clean. "Food always does the trick," he said with a small laugh, "And perhaps you just needed to settle down for a little bit, huh." He held a hand out to the canine allowing her to sniff it warily. She took a step away, lowering her head, her tail still tucked close to her body. "It's okay girl, I just want to help," he cooed to the dog, his hand still outstretched towards her. He inched closer to her, placing a gentle hand on her head and stroking it. She didn't react in the slightest, allowing Carter to pet her. "I suppose we can just wait until tomorrow for you and your puppies to be seen by v. e. t." Carter pulled his hand away, standing up and taking the empty food dish with him. He walked back to his office, sending a message to Joseph about the mama dog before finishing up some paperwork. After a few hours, he decided to call it a day, checking in on all the animals before heading out the door, grabbing his phone and keys on the way. 

Simon

Simon looked up from where he was staring at the floor at the sound of footsteps coming closer, his eyes landing on Morgan. He stood to his feet quickly, wanting to follow her but the door being closed. He slouched back against the wall, staring at the ground again as thoughts of worry raced through his mind. He heard the door to the bathroom open once more, making his eyes shoot in the direction to see Morgan motion for him to come over. He did so immediately, rushing over to see the sight of Addy sobbing. His chest ached at the sight as he brought her in a tight hug, listening to her pleads for him not to leave. "I would never," he spoke in a whisper, beginning to rub circles into her back. "I will always be here... with you." He began to rock her from side to side, still rubbing circles in her back. "Now are you going to tell me what happened," he asked, pulling away slightly and looking at Addy. "I'm really worried and I want to make it better."
