Carter || Pearl

A smile for on Carter's lips at his full name, not hearing it often making it sound quite out of place to him. He nodded his head, sure of his answer while giving Simon a playful glare before darting his eyes over to Addy. His face turned a tint of red at the dare looking over at Morgan. The dare was easy enough. A playful smirk played on his lips as he leaned in, locking his lips with Morgan and began to kiss her slowly. Moments had passed and a clearing of throat followed by Simon's nagging words cut Carter off. He pulled away from the kiss, a smile on his lips. He leaned back in a gave another short kiss, turning to Simon with a devilish glare, "Truth or dare, Simon." Carter laughed, "Fine, what is the worst thing that you have ever done that no one else has found out about?" It was an easy enough question.

Simon || Buffy

Simon watched Carter's face turn a light shade of red, a smirk playing on his lips as he took the bottle of water offered to him. Taking a few sips of the water he handed it back to Addy. "Thank you," he said sarcastically with a laugh. Three minutes had passed and Simon brought his attention back to Carter and Morgan, clearing his throat. "Alright, alright you two make out session over," he spoke playfully, acting as if the sight disgusted him. Another laugh escaped but was cut short by the devilish grin Carter gave him. "Truth," Simon answered. He felt a tickle on his hand, feeling Addy drawing circles on his palm. He smiled to her, hearing the question and taking a moment to think. "There was this old abandoned house on my street and I decided to look around inside because I was curious," he began his story. "It was actually pretty nice on the inside, but it was like the house came straight out of a horror film. Everything covered in dust and all the furniture had a sheet laid over it. I was so scared I accidentally bumped into a table, knocking over a vase that had a bunch of withered flowers in it. The vase looked awfully expensive, but I hightailed it out of there and never told a soul." Simon shrugged, feeling satisfied with his story. "They cleared the house out and tore it down a few months after that." He looked up from where he had been watching the flicker of the flames dancing around in the fire pit, "Alright Morgan, truth or dare."

Morgan|| Ryker

Closing her light blue eyes as Carter locked lips with hers getting lost in the long kiss before hearing Simon’s sarcastic tone for them to end the make-out session. Turning a light shade of red as Carter snuck in another kiss and grinning at him. Casting her light blue eyes to Simon’s brown ones and tapping her fingers on the ground before smirking “I choose Dare.” Speaking it boldly and flexing her hands her light blue eyes shining with deviousness ready for whatever Simon gave her. Running one hand through her strawberry red hair and casting her eyes down to the fire pit and then back to Simon ready for the dare that he would choose.

Addy|| Gemni

Giggling at his sarcastic reply and hearing his sarcastic reply to Carter’s and Morgan little make-out session “Bet you wouldn’t object if it were me and you.” A playful gleam shining in her hazel-green eyes leaning against him as he told her about the story. “Interesting...didn’t know my boyfriend can be that sneaky.” Giving a giggle and shaking her head with a smile planted on her face. As Simon passed the water back and giving his sarcastic laugh and thank you Addy shook her head smiling more “Anytime babe it’s my pleasure to spread my love germs ” Taking the opportunity and pressing a kiss on his lips and closing her eyes leaning forward before pulling away with her devilish grin. Turning towards Morgan who picked Dare and blinking back to asimon wondering what he would give her for her dare.

Carter || Pearl

Carter grinned, his blue eyes on Morgan while he listened to Simon's story. Interesting was all he thought about it. A smirk played on his lips, at the sound of Morgan choosing dare seeing the devious look in her eyes. Behind him he heard the shuffling and the loud huff of Pearl shifting around to get comfortable. Placing a hand on her, he began to stroke her while his eyes were captivated by the flickering of the fire in front of him.

Simon || Buffy

A grin widened on Simon's face as he shook his head at Addy, "Not at all." His playful look and devilish grin turned to Morgan. "I dare you-," he paused looking between Carter and Morgan, "-tell Carter in all honesty what you think about him." His devilish grin faded having fooled Carter into believing he had formulated a super embarrassing dare that turned out in all reality as something super simple. He shook his head at Carter's priceless expression, a yawn escaping that made him aware of how tired Simon was. He blinked away the sleepiness and listened for Morgan's answer.

Morgan|| Ryker

Taking a breath and sitting back “Well at first I thought Carter was to fearful and shy to talk to me but, I gues I warmed up on him.” Tapping her fingers on her thigh and thinking honestly “But as we got to know each other more I figured out I’m the emotional one as well and he’s just perfect and makes my insides tingly and float. In all honesty Carter isn’t perfect and neither of us are but, we all have flaws and can help each other and build each other up...so Carter can stay just the way he is cause to me he’s perfect.” Smiling shyly at Carter for dumping all the things she was feeling out and leaning up connecting her lips once again to his and wrapping her arms around his neck pulling him closer. Hearing another throat clear from Addy this time and leaning back with her cheeks red and shrugging. “What can I say the boy kisses good and he’s like a magnet pulling me in. Plus I’m just getting him immune to my love germs ” Giving a grin and then looking at Simon’s yawn “How about we fall it a night and then wake up early in the morning to search for the group again?” Offering the idea and looking back to the fire pit with her light blue eyes. Ryker now snoring on his side rolled into his back beside Pearl his snores increasing in volume.

Addy|| Gemni

Hearing Morgan confess her honest opion on Carter and then start to make out with him again. Clearing her throat and shaking her head with a grin. “Well if I’m being honest about Simon at first I thought he was scary....he was taller and had Buffy and she kinda looks meaner then Gemni and I was shy around him, but now I understand he’s all bark and no bite with his sarcastic self. I get the same feeling inside me that makes my insides stir up and my heart skip a couple beats everytime I see those brown eyes.” Smiling and leaning foreward planting a kiss on Simon’s lips with a devilish grin. Seeing Simon’s yawn and nodding to Morgan’s idea “Sleep right love birds.” Grinning and leaning foreward using her force and knocking Simon down with a giggle planting sloppy kisses on his lips and cheeks. Stopping the kisses and leaning into him with a smile forming in her face “Goodnight Simon.” Kissing him one last time before snuggling up against his chest and staring foreward at his chest.

Carter || Pearl

A red tint came to Carter's face, growing deeper in shade with each word of truth escaping Morgan's lips. He leaned down, allowing his lips to connect with hers in one smooth motion before being pulled away, rolling his eyes at Addy playfully. He laughed along with Morgan's comment, "I can say the same for you." He gave her another kiss to the cheek, looking over to Simon and catching his infectious yawn. Rubbing his eyes, Carter nodded in agreement shifting slightly and laying down, pulling Morgan down next to him. He enveloped her in a warm hug, snuggling close and closing his eyes. "Goodnight," he said simply with a small yawn before being pulled into sleep.

Simon || Buffy

Simon grinned from ear to ear at Addy's confession, looking back at Buffy who was fidgeting in her sleep. He stroked the canine's head softly, waking her from her sleep for a moment before she realized it was on Simon and fell back asleep. He gave a small nod in agreement with everyone else, feeling his body being pulled down by Addy and kisses being placed on his lips and cheeks. He wrapped his arms around Addy, smiling and giving her one last kiss. "Goodnight Addy." His eyes fluttered closed and soon after a soft snore sounded.

Morgan|| Ryker

Being pulled down and grinning back at Carter. Snuggling against Carter and turning towards him and snuggling into his chest and shutting her eyes soon drifting off into a peaceful sleep beside him. After sleeping peacefully beside Carter all night feeling safe in his arms the morning sun began to make its way through the cave. Flinging an arm across her head to block the sunlight and letting out a little moan from the sunlight’s rays hitting them through the cave entrance. Pushing her arms up finally and sitting up seeing Ryker by the cave entrance whining to go out to use the bathroom. Shaking her head with a smile and looking at Carter and Pearl’s sleeping figure leaning down and planting a kiss on Carter’s cheek before standing up and stretching. “C’mon bud lets go use the bathroom.” Blinking her light blue eyes adjusting to the brightness and watching Ryker go off to a tree. Turning and looking at the grey smoke in the air and jaw dropping. “Um guys you might want to see this.” Voice rising and heart quickening in hope that it was the group. Ryker leaving the bush and cocking his head at the smoke before giving a loud sharp bark and stepping foreward. “Um Babe your doganese is needed.” Calling to Carter and the rest hoping her call and Ryker’s loud bark woke them.

Addy|| Gemni

Getting wrapped up in Simon’s arms and closing her eyes snuggling into him soon drifting off into a peaceful sleep beside Simon and Gemni. Hearing talking and scooting closer to Simon attempting to block the noise out. Hearing Morgan’s high pitched call for them all to come and then followed by a sharp bark. Sitting up and worry on her expression hoping it wasn’t another bees nest. Shaking Simon and standing up following out of the cave with Gemni hot on her heels. “What happened?” Looking around and then looking to where Morgan pointed in the distance with the smoke in the horizon. Calming down and shaking her head with a slight smile “Don’t scare me like that again I thought something happened to you.” Giving her friend a hug and then looking at the smoke “I think we found them....” slight unease settling in her stomach at the thought of going back and separating from them.

Carter || Pearl

Carter rolled over with a groan, feeling that Morgan had gotten up. He reached out a hand blindly trying to find where she went. He let out another groan, his hand landing on Pearl. His eyes shot open and he instantly sat up, making contact with the blinding sunlight. Blinking a few times, he stumbled to his feet. "What is it," he questioned following Addy's. He searched for any sign of danger seeing none then followed Morgan's finger to the sky where he saw gray smoke rising up over the treetops. "The group," he questioned in surprise, looking back at Morgan. 

Simon || Buffy

Simon wrapped his arms tighter around Addy, snuggling closer and not wanting to get up. His grip released and he rolled over. Feeling Addy shake him he let out a groan before bringing himself to a sitting position. Simon rubbed his eyes, looking around and realizing that he was the only one still in the cave. Even the dogs had left him. He dragged himself up and out of the cave, his eyes instantly landing on the gray cloud of smoke. Still sleep deprived he walked over to Addy, wrapping his arms around her. "We should hit the trails, it seems we finally found the group." He yawned, closing his eyes for another moment.

Life's Struggles Chapter 2: New Challenges

But first a little summary of what everyone has been up to.

Morgan: After the wilderness challenge she exchanged phone numbers with every
One and decided to do the long distance relationship with Carter and finishing high school. Meeting up with Addy and Simon and Carter as much as possible on breaks. Getting accepted into her collage of choice and doing the dog trainer certification and becoming a certified dog trainer. 

Addy: After the wilderness challenge they all exchanged phone numbers and kept meeting frequently. Graduating and being on and off with Simon with the stress of school and managing a relationship. Finally graduating and becoming a horse trainer and equine science degree she got back into a relationship with Simon and now they all live in rental house that’s 2 bedroom with king sized beds and 3 bathrooms and a big kitchen and back porch and back yard.

Simon: After the wilderness challenge Simon went back home, starting his first year at college and soon after graduating with a degree in journalism and beginning his career as a freelance journalist for a local magazine company. His relationship with Addy was complicated and definitely challenging, but always seemed to make it work out in the end. And as discussed during their time on their survival challenge, the four of them decided to rent out a house together. 

Carter: After the wilderness challenge, Carter moved back home in New York with his parents, keeping in touch with everyone and coming to visit when he got the chance to. He managed to keep his long distance relationship with Morgan until he completed high school and moved closer to Morgan and pursuing a degree in business. With the help of his parents and his own savings, Carter bought an old warehouse, working on it when he wasn't in class and converted it into a rescue for animals of all sizes. Bringing in his first residents and eventually keeping one of them while finding many others homes.

Morgan|| Ryker

In the house in the bedroom that she shared with Carter and the dogs. Light blue eyes scanning towards the alarm clock contemplating but, the choice being way easier since she picked staying beside Carter. Snuggling against Carter and wrapping her arms around his his waist. Offering a kiss to his cheek and resting her head on his shoulder with a small grin. “Watcha doing?” Asking the Simple question for him and looking to the end of the bed seeing Ryker snd Pearl. Ryker lifting his head and immediately wagging his butt, standing up and walking towards the middle of them leaning down and placing wet and slobbery kisses to his humans faces. Morgan feeling the wet and gooey slobbery kisses hiding her face between Carter’s shoulder and the pillow “Gentle......Down....” snapping her fingers and pointing down with her finger feeling the weight start to decrease on them. Turning back and looking at Carter with her little grin planted on her face. 

Addy|| Gemni

In the second king sized bed next to Simon that she shared with him. Snuggling into his side and smiling her hazel-green eyes glowing from the sun shining through the window onto them. Something that Addy could do forever was watch Simon sleep. Leaning down and pressing a light kiss to his forehead and nose and pulling back. “Will you get up with me.....” not wanting to be out of bed first but, wanting someone to go to the kitchen with her. Addy blinking her hazel-green eyes once more tilted her head st Simon giving her stare that worked most of the time and planting a kiss on his lips for extra persuasion. Gemni on the floor in her do bed stretching, and snoring softly. “I can make you something to eat either leftover frozen pizza and coffee or pancakes....or waffles.” Thinking about her choices as her stomach rumbled loudly. “The pizza and coffee do sound really good to me.” Giving a giggle at her taste of food pairings she often chose to be together.

Carter rolled over, wrapping an arm around Morgan and snuggling her closer to him not really wanting to get out of bed. "Good morning," he spoke, the sleep still in his voice as he opened his eyes, a smile creeping on his face. "Procrastinating getting out of bed." He laughed, blinking his eyes a few times and looking down at Ryker and Pearl. Pearl wagged her tail happily at the humans that were now awake and stirring from under the bed announced Pepper's awakening. The small canine placed his paws on the edge of the bed, peering up at everyone before jumping up on the bed with next to Carter. "Slumber party in the bed," Carter spoke with another laugh at the sight of Ryker placing slobbery kisses all over Morgan. "Alright, alright I suppose I will get out of bed." Pepper and Pearl wagged their tails, both jumping off the bed and leaving the room, eager for their breakfast. A beep came through Carter's phone, picking up he saw a text. 'New arrival at the rescue center, someone left a box full of baby rabbits on the doorsteps.' Carter sent a quick reply before turning back over and giving Morgan a kiss on her lips before pushing the covers to the side and walking out of the room and to the kitchen.

Simon

Simon smiled, waking up to the feeling of Addy snuggling closer to him, the sun shining in from the windows. He moaned in defiance, pulling Addy closer. "Can we stay in bed for just a few moments longer," he grumbled, his brown eyes finally meeting Addy's. He released his grip after a moment longer, letting her get out of bed. He blinked a few times, finally deciding to follow behind her into the kitchen. "Okay, I don't care what you make, it's your choice."

Morgan|| Ryker

Nodding her head and pressing closer to Carter’s warmth he provided. Seeing the rest of the dogs begin to get on the bed before Carter getting a text on his phone and placing a kiss on her lips. Blinking her light blue eyes and watching Carter leave the room with the dogs. Grumbling and running a hand through her long curly strawberry red hair and stretching. Moving the covers and stepping out of the bed chills hitting her skin from exposure to the air around her. Pulling the fuzzy red blanket on Carter’s side and wrapping it around her head and body in a big blanket. Following after wrapped in the fuzzy red blanket and following to where the dogs ate. Sitting on the floor in the middle and watching the dogs eat there food. Smiling up at Carter and wrapping the blanket tighter around herself. Ryker jumping off the bed and following after everyone to his food bowl and sitting down patiently till the food as placed in his bowl and beginning to crunch on his food.

Addy|| Gemni

Walking into the kitchen and seeing Morgan on the floor wrapped in a red blanket beside the dogs eating on the floor. Shaking her head and smiling going to the fridge and opening it up pulling out the leftover cheese pizza from the night before. Putting it on the kitchen island and grabbing a slice and making her way to the coffee pot. Putting the pod in and pressing brew on the top, waiting for a couple moments before pouring herself a cup and walking to the front porch. Pushing open the door and sitting on the swinging bench room for three on it. Taking a bite of the cold pizza and drinking her hot coffee with a smile. Closing her hazel-green eyes and taking in the scenery around before opening them back up and continuing eating her weird breakfast combination. Gemni following out of the bedroom and going to her bowl giving a bark for it to be filled and beginning to eat her breakfast with her black and white tail wagging behind her.

Carter

Carter stepped into the kitchen, pulling the cabinet open that held the bag of dog food. Picking up the scoop, he placed a scoop each in all five bowls before pulling out the car food and pouring a little in the two bowls on the counter for Minnie and Mickey. "Buffy," he called, hearing her claws cracking against the hardwood floor, a set of paws and the flashy of a fluffy tail darting under the couch. "Leave Minnie alone and come eat," he called after the canine that perked her ears and came bounding over and beginning to eat with the rest of the dogs. Carter smiled, watching Morgan walk in wrapped in a blanket and sit down on the floor next to the dogs. "Do you want me to fill you a bowl of kibble," he joked, laughing. "Good morning," he grinned at Addy and Simon coming into the kitchen. He moved over, grabbing himself a slice of pizza and leaning against the counter while munching down on it.

Simon

With a long yawn, stretching his arms he followed right behind Addy. "Good morning," he responded, acknowledging Morgan and Carter. Buffy came bounding up past him over to her food bowl, munching away at her kibble. A soft meow and a soft feathery tail running on Simon's leg, catching his attention and shifting his eyes seeing both cats wrapped around his legs. He picked both of them up, setting Mickey down on the counter and giving a soft pet to the head before doing the same to Minnie. Once the cats were satisfied, they walked over to their now filled food bowls and began to eat. Simon walked over, grabbing himself a cold slice of pizza and pouring himself a cup of coffee. "Thank you," he spoke to Addy, following her outside and sitting next to her on the bench silently.

Morgan|| Ryker

Grinning up at Carter and shaking her head with a giggle “Do I have to beg or do tricks? ” One eyebrow raising and smiling up at him “I know all of my tricks and I’m sitting right now so that’s double the kisses I deserve and treats.” standing up from off the floor keeping her red blanket wrapped around her. Picking up a price of pizza and leaning against the counter and into Carter’s side taking a bite of her pizza mixed with another yawn. Chewing and swallowing before watching all the animals eat. “You know we could go back to bed and cuddle?” Finishing her pizza and wrapping her arms around Carter and tickling his sides with a grin and smiling deviously up into his blue eyes. “Or we can do whatever I don’t have any clients today but, working with Pepper and building his confidence up today with some exercises and basic training with the rest to brush up on there skills.” Picking up Mickey and holding him close giving a little kiss to his head and staying in Carter’s embrace. Ryker finishing his meal and walking towards the toy bin picking up in his mouth a tug rope and bending down into a play bow in front of Pearl wagging his butt.

Addy|| Gemni

Turning to Simon and smiling “No problem it apart of my girlfriend duties to give you food.” Giving a giggle and taking a bite of her pizza and swallowing. Taking a sip of her hot coffee and watching Simon with the exact thing she had and grinning “So I guess my weird food habits have taken its effects on you?” Finishing her pizza and sipping her hot coffee giving another swallow and more chews silently eating. “Today or this evening I have three lessons and working with Fontanne a big bay throughbred that’s very handsome working with him this evening. What about you?” Raising her eyebrows and leaning into Simon’s side with a smile. Gemni after eating lifted her head walking towards Minnie wagging her tail and crouching low brown eyes staring and head going low giving a bark herding her into the living room with another sharp bark.

Carter

Carter laughed, taking another bite out of his pizza. "I suppose," he spoke playfully giving Morgan a short kiss on the cheek. He finished his pizza, opening the fridge and pouring him a cup of grape juice, gulping it down rather quickly. A grin appeared on his face, nodding, "We can most definitely do that." He twisted and turned his body, trying to avoid her ticking attacks. In one quick motion he scooped Morgan into his arms, carrying her back to their room. He dropped her on the bed with a laugh, climbing in next to her and wrapped his arms around her, leaning in and placing a kiss on her lips. "I do have to go to the rescue center later, someone dropped off a litter of baby bunnies on the steps last night." He leaned in for another kiss, enjoying the moment. Pearl stepped away from her food bowl, wagging her tail at Ryker, playfully bowing in return and picking up the other end of the rope, she began to tug and pull at it.

Simon

Simon smiled, sipping at his hot coffee and taking another bite of his pizza. "I guess they have," he said with a laugh, realizing the weird combination of pizza and coffee. He plopped the last bit of pizza in his mouth, swallowing it and finishing off the rest of his coffee. He placed the empty mug aside. "Is this Fontanne more handsome than me," he sarcastically asked, pretending to be offended. A smile crept on his face, pulling Addy in for a kiss. "I have a day off today, I already sent in my latest article to the publisher. It was about the dwindling Red Wolf population in the area, says there aren't but a few left in the wild due to there being no restrictions on shooting them, especially farmers with livestock. Most of the population is in captivity now." A gleam of excitement was in his eyes as he spoke about the work he loved, but he was even more grateful to have the day off. "Mind if I join you at the barn today?" He watched as Buffy came to the door, looking out the window next to it. He opened the door, the happy canine running into the fenced in yard. She let out a sharp playful bark before dashing around to the back of the house. Mickey leaned into to Morgan's hand, rubbing his head back and forth. When he was done he pushed away from her arms and dashed away into the living room, scooting under the couch with a rather angry and hissing Minnie hot on his heels behind him. 

Morgan|| Ryker

Giggling and letting herself get picked up placed on the bed by Carter. Snuggling into his side as he gave her a kiss an dnodding. “I can come with you later and see those baby bunnies...” voice getting low and grinning since any baby animal Morgan was happy to see. “I won’t get in you way and I’m properly house trained.” Giving another giggle and wink towards him, rolling over towards him with a grin on her face. “You don’t like my tickles?” Giving a giggle and planting a kiss on his lips and pulling away sneakily “I’m sure Ryker and Pearl and Pepper would disagree with you. Sneaking her arms around his sides and beginning to tickle Carter planting kisses on his lips and dodging out of reach on the bed and continuing her tickling. Finally, stopping and whistling for there dogs to come. “Get Daddy c’mon.” Making baby noises at the dogs and laughing holding her abdomen from laughing so hard. Ryker pulling on the rope with Pearl gave one last tug before hearing the whistle from Morgan. Pricking his ears and dropping the rope from his mouth bolting towards there room. Jumping into the bed in no time pressing into Carter and beginning to lick him sending his slobber and wet kisses at every part of him he could reach. 

Addy|| Gemni

Turning red and shaking her head “Well in the horse world he’s stunning and has a good pedigree and has speed. Fontanne’s owner is one of my higher paying clients so yes Fontanne would beat you there.” Giving a playful smile and leaning against him listening to the red wolf story he was working on that he sent in. “Sure, Maybe we can put you on one of the ponies for beginners.” Grinning and watching as Buffy ran out the door giving a playful bark and rubbing to the back yard. “I can show you the other handsome boy  I’ve been working with his name is Ransom and oh, let me tell you he’s jaw dropping gorgeous and if you were a horse that’d be you. He’s 16.3 hands and all black with beautiful brown eyes like you.” Grinning and turning to stare at his brown eyes with her hazel-green ones for a moment leaning in and smashing her lips against his and staying there for a moment kissing Simon. Pulling away and clearing her throat “I’m currently working with him to sell unfortunately. I mean if I had the money I’d buy him in a heartbeat but, he’s too expensive for me.” Addy’s Hazel-green eyes reflecting sadness for a brief moment before shaking her head and leaning against Simon more. Gemni still trying to herd Minnie and now moving to Mickey Giving a sharp loud bark of excitement. Sticking her nose under the couch and barking sharply to try to get them to move.
