EV Horse Passings

So, I have been running my little Akhal-Teke rescue project thing for a couple months now. 95% of them were all 0 years old when I got them from the RC or a neglectful user, and these past couple of weeks they have been reaching the age of 22 years old and dying off with 950+ stats.

And while I'm happy to keep their legacy going through their foals, I feel sad about not playing with them anymore.
I don't know, I know they are simply pixel ponies but every time a horse dies, I can easily remember back when I named them. Especially the Tekes that I first started out with, like "Call the Exorcist" and "American Recreation".
Sometimes, I even go back and look at my "Former Horses" tab to kinda just look at the names, or even look into their public notes at their successes in the game.

While I love my own bred Tekes that have their parents' names, I just love raising rescue horses from 100 stats (some even lower than 100) to 1000 throughout their lives.
I take these horses and their success way too seriously... help me..

But yeah, just a little rant about my love for my rescues LOL

I'm attached to my pixels too & am gutted something like 30 of them have died in the past 2 weeks. I dread logging on to find the "x no horses have died" notification!

They were good at placing in shows too so no I'm taking a hit player points wise.  22 wks just seems to fly by sometimes!

I look back at my deceased horses all the time, and tbh the fact that my current TBs are distantly related to my first horses on this game is the thing that I'm most proud of. Plus, I can still remember what all of my pre-recode horses' original breeds were (some of them had to be switched due to the cull). I think I care too much as well, but hey, pixel horse nostalgia is nice. ;')
