My Slow Return To Planet EV

#123148 Posted on 2017-10-01 12:10:13

Hi fellow EV'ers. Fable is back... or at least trying to get back into EV after what.... 10 months away?!

To anyone I spoke to way back when about any EV related business I wholeheartedly apologise for my disappearence but so far 2017 has been the year from hell.

Long story short after a scheduled vacation of 2 wks I returned home to find my Grandads Alzheimers had deteriated to such a point we had to find a care home for him so that delayed my return initially then just as I Was about to unlock my accts I went and had a fall on a wet dancefloor, thanks to some cut rate dry ice effects & fractured both my wrists.

Yes folks BOTH at the same time so I've literally not been able to do ANYTHING for 6months while they healed (slowly I might add) and I had some crazy painful awful physio to get some movement/use of my hands again. They still are not back to how they were & I doubt they'll ever be the same again but I'm trying to motivate myself by using my beloved pixels as a form of physio.

So its going to be a while til I sort through my horses & try to remember what the heck I was planning with them 10 months ago!

Thanks guys I've missed EV so its nice to be back.. but a lots changed!

Notori - It is/was traumatic I couldn't leave the house for a few months afterward. I had panic attacks when I got to the front door. But life goes on & there are people worse off than me in this world.

Feathered Gold - Ha. It was off the scale & is still quite painful now, especially with the colder autumn weather kicking in. It didn't help I hallucinated badly on morphine based pain killers!!

Welcome back!

I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer's in July, it is a horrible disease. We always say to each other that dementia makes you lose a loved one twice. I still tear up when I think of her.
Wishing you guys the best of luck.
