Open Bids/ Private Auctions

So I put in a bid on a horse and can not figure out how long before I'll know whether I've won or lost. I also can't figure out if there is a way to cancel bids. How long do private auction run? 

For Private Auctions from the horse's page there is no end date or length that the horse is up for sale for. The selection and time allowed is up to the horse owner. The owner does get notifications when bids are placed. If you are looking for an update from the owner and it has been a few days it is okay to go ahead and message them politely to ask if they are considering your bid or not. 

To cancel your bid you can go to your homepage near the bottom directly above the Account settings to "View My Bids" and can cancel bids from there.
