Working as A Trail Guide

#120083 Posted on 2017-09-03 10:31:28

Yesterday was my first full shift as a trail guide at my barn and I was especially nervous because it was 108*F...

Only two trails went out, a large group at eight and a group of older ladies from Iowa at 11. When the guy working the office came out to announce the trail, one of the girls said "I want to meet the idiots that want to go out on a trail in this heat."

Thankfully, I only took out the group of older ladies and someone else took out the large group. I also got a $25 dollar tip and I'm so heckin happy because that's the biggest tip I've ever gotten in the two years I've been working at my barn.

Congrats. I've worked as a trail guide for 4 years now. It's a lot of fun! Once it cools down or gets busier, you'll probably be making a lot more in tips!

Also you get to meet so many people!
