Just wondering which of our Equiversians are in the path of Hurricane Harvey? Stay safe, guys! Check in here if you can, and check back once you've got power again so we know you're ok. ♥

I have tons of family in Texas, so I'm trying my best to keep them in my thoughts. Thankfully, I'm in Georgia; where it shouldn't have much affect at all. Which I'm happy, cause we're (the town and community) still recovering from the Earthquake and tornado a few months ago. I just hope my family stays safe in the horrible conditions Texas faces.

My husband's brother and his family are right in Corpus Christi, and we haven't heard from them in a day or so, so we are getting a little worried. Prayers to all affected - stay safe!

@North they were probably making preparations or evacuating the area of its been a few days.  I know it made landfall late last night and directly hit Corpus.

Im closer to Houston. I live about an hour east in more country/farmland area, that's already prone to flooding. I woke up just now to make possibly our last pot of hot coffee and now we've got a tornado warning that's basically right on top of us so we are about to wake up my 4 year old and go huddle with blankets in the middle bathroom...

I have a aunt and younger cousin. I was freaking out when I heard. She hasn't been answering her phone, so we're praying.

I'm in the Northeast corner of Texas, about 2 hours from LA, AR, and OK. Right now, the local weather seems to think we won't be getting much, but my nearly 10 years of experience tells me that we're gonna get it. We always do. No matter what direction it's coming from.

I'm in the Texas Panhandle, and I mostly feel like we're just going to get a bunch of rain and wind backlash from Harvey up here if we get anything (It's already been raining over here for over two weeks anyway). I hope people who are in the actual storm are safe.

Same thing I posted for my clubs newsletters:

Just thought I owed everyone an apology and explanation of my whereabouts the last few days. This last week seems to be an ongoing neverending nightmare. If you were unaware,  I do live in East Texas, close to the gulf. Hurricane threats are going to always happen as we live where we do. Hurricane Harvey has directly impacted my family and friends,  and greater Houston community as a whole. I live in Dayton, Texas, and at one point yesterday, we had accrued 39 inches of rain in 3 days. I live in a  area of farmland and large acreage plots. People have turned out cattle and horses hoping they would find higher ground and make it out ok. Our home foundation is higher than some in our neighborhood, but our roof and fireplace have some substantial leaks. They've released the dam waters at Lake Livingston, which will affect the Trinity river and  rising water even more. I have locked all of my horses, and am only progressing to check on posts and any messages from friends on here. I probably won't go back to work until Friday, as the flooding after dam release is unknown at this time.  I hope all of you are doing well and have a good rest of the week.

Stay safe, Noto + everyone else in the area. If you're safe but have friends and family that are in the region, I hope they're all safe as well.

I hope everyone stays safe and is able to return once the storm is over. I live in Florida also in line of some of those massive storms. Hoping none come this way and it is the season for such storms

I'm in Cali, but I've seen some pretty rough stuff on Instagram ranging from someone leaving their horse in a round pen to a literal hawk seeking refuge in a guy's car and allows him to pick him up and carry him into his house and feed him meat. I hope everyone is doing okay and that you're all safe!
