EVC to EVD Trading

Hi all.

Out of curiosity, has there ever been an option to trade your credits for EVD? If not, why? And if so, why was it removed?

I know some games have that option, is why I ask. I know little to nothing about the old Equiverse before the recode, so I have no idea if it was implemented at one time or not. So please forgive me if it's been brought up before now or has some bad blood behind it (ignorance is bliss, yes?).

Actually, you can sell your credits for EVD through the Credit Sales. You could also put them up for trade at the Marketplace and ask for EVD in return.

Converting EVC to EVD through the game hasn't ever been an option and most likely will not be an option in order to keep the market flexible and not put a "price" on EVC directed from the game. However as mentioned above you can easily convert EVC to EVD by use of Credit Sales. While not an instantaneous exchange pricing under the current floor in the market can usually get you relatively quick sales. 

Ahhh, yes, I did know about the credit sales area. I've used it before and had more success now that we're supposed to be using it rather than the forums. I just had also read in another post (older one) that credits used to be about $50k EVD for each and a lot of people tried to keep the price down by using the forums for that reason. I wondered if that was behind some of the reluctance for people to use the credit sales given the price was about twice that - and if you're in a financial bind on the game, sometimes you need the money ASAP rather than a week from now or never at all.

I didn't think you could use the marketplace for credits, though. I'll keep that in mind!
