Custom horse confo

#114049 Posted on 2017-07-13 13:55:08

Anyone notice a change?
I bought 3 custom horses yesterday and all had under 60 confo.
Has there been a change? Because I feel it isn't as "worth" it to spend 15 credits if the confo isn't there.

yikes.
i've not made a custom in a while but i hope the higher-than-usual confo hasn't disappeared. that's part of the value of a custom horse IMO.

Their confo, though not always "high" has only ever been all "Good" from what I've seen, which can be even more valuable in building confo lines long term.

I created a custom made around two weeks ago, her confo is 63.75.
Edit - I would be really irritated with less than 60 confo on a custom horse. I probably wouldn't create another.

ugh... I was planning on creating a herd of custom horses... now I am hesitant to do that since I am planning on breeding for the conformation too... I agree with Lúcra, I would be irritated if I paid 15 EVC and get horse with less than 60 conformation... I think custom horses should cost less OR give better conformation...

Yep, this is why I haven't bought any customs.

Conformation is the one thing in the game that is not easy to change or improve on... if you're not guaranteed a decent conformation from a custom, why not get an RC horse with higher conformation and use coat/marking applicators and DNA tweaks to get desired colour - it is probably cheaper.

Post-recode horses are at a huge disadvantage w.r.t. conformation too so it would be nice to have a way to improve new lines.

Almare the one advantage that I think you get with cutstom horses in regards to customization is being able to specify face and leg markings.

Yeah I know... and I have almost bought a flaxen red dun mustang with white face and four stockings several times. Just don't think it's worth 15 credits just for markings.

i don't think having above 60 confo should be guaranteed, but for 15 credits i do think they should have better odds of having good conformation than the average EC horse. I don't make customs often because my main breed doesn't have enough colors/patterns to justify the credits spent when i could easily just skim the RC for high confo and use cheap* randomizers on them

*cheap meaning 2-3 credits as opposed to the 15 for a custom
