Going Crazy!

#111404 Posted on 2017-06-26 17:01:46

I have been playing since May so my oldest horses are only 10ish... I am finding it harder and harder to wait to breed them lol! It's eating away at me! Since I only plan to breed them 1-2 times I want to wait until much, much later to get the most out of the foals. I'm afraid to even start pairing them since I might just get click-happy one night and breed them all haha! Anyone else in the same boat?!

I know what you mean. Waiting the 15 weeks to breed my new foundation line was very hard... worth it when you get 500 stat second gen foals though.

I am tempted to start a conformation-first line where I only wait for suffient stats to ensure the foals have more than stores.

I can't even breed yet so you got me there haha.

Once I can I'm sure I'll be in the same boat, because I'm already slowly starting to plan pairs. I went a little crazy adopting from the RC... I'm just focusing on leveling up for now.

What age do people usually breed at?

@Almárë - yes that will certainly make it feel worth it lol! I just have to keep myself in that mindset! The conformation is a whole different ball game but I really wish I had paid more attention to those stats before I put so much time into all of the ones I have now lol! Next time for sure!!

@Culebra - I did the same thing at the RC... I bought WAY too many haha!! The graphics are just too good so I had to have them all!! Leveling is what I am focusing on for now also since I didn't pay much attention to the confirmation stats at first. Now I have spent too much time on them to start over :) I think the age most breed at is 19-20 but it does seem to vary depending on the number of foals you want, and whether you will put them up for brooding and stud :)

@madoka. - holy cow!! That is a super long wait so I guess I should hush lol!! I can't imagine! Do you just train the RC pairs and foals to sell, or do you keep them?

I'm trying not to give into the urge to breed myself. I'm slowly setting up a foundation herd of Trakehners that I'm pleased with. Decent conformation for Foundations and all that.

To distract myself (and make some money to fund showing), I'm currently running a ton of Riding School horses for experience and a little money (not a ton, but a little).

Once I get all my foundations aged up to 3 and ready to show, I'm going to cut down a bit on Riding School horses and focus more on showing.

This is the one thing I don't like about EV lol
Getting around to the whole breeding part takes forever if you're going for stats Dx

I grab decent statted horses from the RC, as well as some cheaper ones for sale on the market and use them for leveling purposes (especially for leveling up my stable's arenas, I almost have one arena for every level in every discipline. Yay!) and breed those guys for kicks. That way I almost always have a horse pregnant so I can get the joy of seeing what comes out :D

I started a new line of clydes recently and I'm having this issue. I just want to breed them to see how they'll turn out, but I'm trying to resist the urge because their stats are far too low. They're a colour project so I'm not stressing about stats too much, but neither do I want terribly low statted foals.

I have foundations and then higher statted horses I've bought in just for this purpose.

It also means in a few gens time I'll have two groups of horses from different lines and i can put my higher statted line into my foundie lines later on too

I train the foals to sell or sometimes I'll drop them back in the RC so newer players can have good horses starting out haha

I joined over a year ago, and I'm level 4. XDXD RL issues make me unable to take care of my horses.
