You go to you treat assignments and then click which horses you want to change their treats for the drop down bar. From there, you click the treat you want to assign them and click assign. I hope this helps.

Hello! I'm assuming that you mean stock as in your horses. In which case using Sugar/Hay Cubes won't "mess them up", just give them a larger stat spread. The difference between Hay/Sugar Cubes and regular treats is only that the Cubes give random stats instead of specific stats. It won't have any affect on the horse unless you're planning to show it or sell horses from your lines for showing purposes. If you just use the riding school giving your horse either type of cubes or peppermints won't affect the outcome of the lessons. It affects horses that show because the shows weight heavily on discipline stats. So a Western horse in the Novice 5 grade with and equal amount of stats in all areas will do worse than a horse with a majority of it's stats in Speed and Intelligence.

This will also affect your breeding down the line as breeding takes multiple factors into account, including discipline and stats in order to produce the next generation's Base and birth stats. There's some really great discussion about Birth stats around here somewhere that explains it way better than I could, but suffice it to say that if your horse is more stat focused in it's discipline it will produce better horses in that discipline.

But you can still use Hay/Sugar cubes and have the luxury of future show breeding if you stop using those cubes and convert your horse to the discipline you want to focus on right before breeding. Converting training is found in the Town in the Training Center ans costs $10,000 for the first conversion and 2 EVC for each conversion after that. So while expensive if you have a large herd it can be very beneficial if you're using cubes and riding school to cut back on treat and show costs.

Personally as a faithful show-er I only use Cubes on young horses I plan to convert and retirees that can no longer show because between the ages of 3 and 21 all my horses are shown, but I've seen a few people that successfully use Cubes in their herds and still have great herds. It's all a matter of preferences and the trade-offs and risks you want to take.

thank you Ride4life, I do know how to change the treats.

thank you Sabriel, that's what I was wanting to know, yes I have started breeding so, I don't want my non-specialty stats unnecessarily high. I have shown some but for now I am just doing the riding school, I like the money but get the hay and sugar too.
