Don't know if this has been suggested, but here I go anyway! I don't know about you, but it gets hassling for me when I want to switch from my main account to my spare(s). Especially when a lot of us use both accounts for horses, art, money, etc. My idea is that we have a system (much like Instagram's, for example), where if you go Home or even hover over the Home button and it comes up with the list of your accounts, to which you could switch over to whatever one you would like, easily. It's a bit hard to explain, but I tried to draw an example of what it could look like below:
The account highlighted in green being the account you're currently on, and the one(s) in white being your other accounts. You would be able to just click on the other one to go to it as you're already logged in. I don't know if this would be possible, however if it is, I think it would be very useful to a lot of us. PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY!

This would be very nice. Right now, instead of logging out and in and out and in.. I keep three different user accounts in chrome/firefox, and just open the different user in chrome when I want to "log in" to my sides. Saves a few extra clicks as it's just like loading a new tab pretty much to log in. I only have one password/account remembered in each so I don't have to fumble around with that when I DO log out on purpose.

How would the game know the account was yours? I would support this if you had to connect your accounts using your password, as otherwise this could create security holes that could allow people to fraudulently access your accounts.

Yes, you would most likely connect them by password, or email even. There could be a security code added if needed.

^ I prefer the email idea since I'm still not sure why we can't have more than one account with the same email lol

One account per email most likely helps cut down on the number of multi-accounters. I'm not sure why that makes a difference in this idea. In fact, wouldn't it be easier to use a password since otherwise you'd have to check 2-3 separate email accounts?

i support because I know I find managing and remembering to do 3 accounts challenging hehe, so atm I only have one. again, I think this could be a deluxe feature maybe? and instead of it being like instagram, you have to link all your accounts by entering the password/login for each one to start with (and say an email is sent to the email you use for your main account as well and you then have to enter a code/validate - this way if your other accounts use old/inactive email addresses only your main one gets the email - I can see this not working though if someone tries to link an account that's not theres and the email is sent to them, not to the person who's account it is) I do think for switching accounts, you should have to enter your account password. So instead of logging out then logging back in, you just can select which account to switch too and then enter your account password.

I have no opinion one way or the other with this suggestion, but to just to clear up some confusion: I think what people are trying to say is that login authentication would be used to link accounts, as opposed to specifically emails or passwords. On a side note: passwords in databases are always encrypted. There is no ready means of checking if any two accounts use the same password.

I don't see how that'd be a problem. If someone had the same password as you and knew your username, then they could just as easily access your account by entering the same password they have. This way would introduce no new security holes (at least in that manner). I imagine that you would already be logged in when linking accounts. You'd have to enter the username and password to do so, just as if you were logging into the account you want to link to.

Or...you could have it so one account could have multiple (1 or 2 more?) profiles. That way you don't even need more than one password. Just switch profiles, similar to in a game where you have multiple saved profiles. Just click and switch back and forth once you've logged in. I think a neat deluxe feature would be to have up to one or two more profiles added to your main account. Each profile would operate as a separate user, under one account. And if it was a deluxe feature, if deluxe runs out than the other 1/2 profiles become 'locked' until you pay for deluxe again. Maybe it could also work that if you paid for deluxe on one profile it applies to the other 1/2 profiles on the account? I dunno how helpful this would be though for people who already have multiple accounts though, and realistically I don't play enough to have a big say :p

To be honest I don't see why this would need to be a deluxe feature. Other than saving some time I don't see this really being an incentive for players to buy the credits to get deluxe.

Wow, I didn't see this to be a bug debate! Lol. But I like all of the ideas you're throwing out there. I think that using a password every time when switching accounts would get to be kind of a lot since the whole point here is easily switching... But then again I see the security hole. What if you could log onto the account and it's active for a bit, and then logs you out after x amount of activity or hours?

PonyIsland has a system where you decide one account is your Main account and then the others are subs of that account. So the accounts are linked that way and they show up in a drop down and you can easily switch from one to the other.
