This suggestion has been marked as "Added To The Game". Thank you, UlyssesBlue, for the suggestion and to those of you who supported for making Equiverse better!

Currently once horses grey out past a certain point their white markings disappear. I think the logic is that the white and grey coat are the same colour, therefore there's no point having both there, but this isn't true. My suggestion is to keep white markings visible for the entirety of a horse's life as they usually do show up on even very pale grey markings.

One of the later stages of grey (drak grey) is significantly darker than white, so white markings should be readily visible, but they're not at the moment. Furthermore, even when the horse is fully greyed out there are still differences between grey and white, i.e the former has black skin while the latter has pink skin. Granted, this won't be noticeable on most parts of the breed art, but it will be in areas like the face and parts of the legs.

For comparison, this is our breed art for dark grey, fully greyed out, and white:

And here is a grey tobiano horse that is almost as light as our fully greyed out horses, but who still displays clear white markings.

I kind of like the full grey(dark gray) and the fully grayed out. It does happen with other colors right?

I like this idea.

Especially if something like a snip of a paler hoof will be visible from a sock or other such marking from the horses earlier life.

I've long wished that markings would still show up on grey! Much like your example image, it's reasonably common to see white patterns on grey horses in real life. At the lightest shades of grey, they aren't extremely obvious anymore, but they're still there.

yeeesssssssss! It always puzzled me why it didn't already do that.
There may be a bit of a problem in that the light grey is actually lighter than the white markings though.
I made a gif to show how it would work so people can see.

I actually don't mind the light grey being slightly lighter than the white markings - in RL grey horses that started off as coloureds/with markings, they can have a different skin colour where their markings/colours used to be different so when wet/if they're clipped or grow a very thin or light coat, you can still see the difference in markings.

^^ That is true, I'd also appreciate there being a difference in color/shade so that the markings could still faintly show through. It would make greys so much more interesting than all of them just eventually turning into the same exact white. The only potential problem in this instance is it would be more realistic if the white markings were lighter than where the grey is, as greys have dark skin and the lighter skin would be where the markings are.

It you had the final grey stage set to the light grey image at 90% opacity over the rest of the coat (or the dark grey image?), you'd easily achieve the subtle colour difference.

I also think the horses should be able to keep their white markings once they've turned full gray. I know a beautiful gelding who is gray and I can see some of a blaze/stripe as pink skin on his nose. If I had a pic of him on my device I'd put it in.

Ooh I fully support this.  I love little pink noses on "white greys"  I actually intentionally breed greys because I think they're so pretty in their in-between stages, but I do miss their markings.
