*Horse Name Prefix

I was caring for my horses when I thought of this. But wouldn't it be nice to instead of listing your "brand" or "stable prefix" or whatever you want to call it, as part of the horse's name, to have like each division automatically gives the horse a prefix? For example,one of my divisions prefix is AStang's. So instead of my listing AStang's Name Here, it will be like Of AStang's "built in", but not part of the name. I don't really know how to explain it...but yeah, I guess it wouldn't like show up for stables/shows/etc as part of their name, but listed like on their page?

If prefixes were to be introduced I would prefer 1 prefix per account, and you would have to:

1. Be a deluxe member
2. Pay a small, one time credit fee to register your prefix
3. Prefixes should not be removable
4. Only horses bred by the account can have that account's prefix added
5. It would be awesome to have a search feature added to search for horses with a specific prefix

That's my two-cents. And also I did not vote on this because while I would like a prefix feature, I would prefer it to be instated with some/all of the above restrictions.

I agree with all the above, except I think we should be allowed more than one prefix. Maybe up to 4 prefixes?? Or even just two.

I love prefixes, so all the support from me.

I think it should be that all basic accounts got 1 free prefix, and deluxe got like 2 or 3 free prefixes, and all other prefixes should be bought with credits. Because prefixes don't benefit the horses in any way that should make them a credit only option. I also think that prefixes should be permanent.

I agree with Champagne, and that prefixes should only be added if:
You bred the horse
Or they came from the EC

I don't know, I've always thought that prefixes just look rather ugly. I don't like having things attached to the horse that I can't change. Also, what exactly do you mean by each division giving a horse a prefix? Many people (including yourself) have divisions titled "Sales" or some other way of organizing their horses, so it wouldn't make much sense to have a prefix of "Sales" in front of your horses in that division.

@Syrien; I didn't mean each would have to have a prefix, it would be totally optional to give any division a prefix, ;)

I use my prefix of RKO on horses that I have bred, I like the idea :)

I would support so long as it's only BREDs and perhaps customs and it's not a huge mark/brand. (Ie 3 letter/digit/symbol limit).

I would say only 3 characters is a little extreme. Maybe a max of 10, but 3 is a very tiny bit if you are someone like me who labels with first letter of her name/stable and then the breed (or something similar to the breed, ie "minis", or "stangs", or "TBs"), who just in general uses words not letters.

Prefixes are meant to be small, it's about placing your name on the horse. Like my prefix on my horses would probably be GS.

They would be small, at least ideally they would. 10 characters is barley any, really.

Names are 30 characters. Having 10 more chars in front is 1/3 of the name! Would be very distracting for one, and another the names would require that much more space where ever names are listed.

There's another game (not sure which) that used to let you "register a brand". So, a few characters, max 5 maybe, that stuck to your stable and would appear on every horse bred by YOU.

I don't think it is needed since right under the horse ID is the owner and also who the horse was bred by?
