July Club Championships

The Club Championships is a team contest between the clubs (both official breed clubs and player groups). The aim is to show your horse(s) to gain as many show points as possible, and work together with other members of your club to help your club win. This contest hopes to encourage some friendly rivalry between the clubs, and boost activity for both clubs and player groups alike.

Prizes will be given out to horses with the highest points gained, and to clubs with the highest score (calculated as the average points gained from all the horses entered on their team). The contest starts July 1st, 4am EV time, and will finish July 30th, 4am EV time.

To enter a horse *entries closed*

To enter, use the below form to nominate a horse you own, and the team it will compete with. It is free to enter a horse. The team is the official breed club or player group you'd like the horse to join. It doesn't matter if the club/group hasn't signed up when you enter your horse, just so long as you put a second or third preference in case they don't, or in case your horse isn't eligible to join them. You can enter up to three horses, but no more than one per team. You have until June 30th, 4am EV time to enter your horses.
*edit* To give new presidents time to advertise the contest and accept registrations after they get elected, late entries will be accepted up until July 7th. Where possible please get your entries in before the end of June though.

Use the following form to enter a horse:

To be eligible to join a team, horses must be in some way recognised as being registered with the club/group.
If the team is an official breed club: horse must be registered with the club by the time the contest starts, so make sure you apply to register the horse if you haven't already done so.
If the team is a player group: horse must either clearly meet some sort of publicly stated registration requirements for that group, OR the group owner explicitly states the horse is eligible/registered.
If your horse doesn't end up being eligible for any team you nominate, they will be added to the Team of Last Resort instead (which has no club affiliation), just so there's a backup. I'll try to get all horses into a team though.

Players should also be a member of the club/group their horses are entered with.
It is recommended that horses are of such an age that they will be between the ages of 3 and 17 when the competition starts.


To register a club/group as a team *entries closed*

If you are the owner of a player group, or are likely to get elected as the president of a club next month, you may register your group/club as a team. It costs $100,000 for a club to register, which should come out of club funds. All entry fees will be added to the prize pool. Player groups will have to work something else out, since they don't have a bank, however if the owner can't afford this Danzy007 has very kindly offered to cover any money shortages, so please message them if needed.

To register your club/group, simply post below, and send your entry fee of $100,000 to my spare account #75110. Your club/group must be registered and the fee paid by July 7th. (That way if you're not currently president you will be able to pay the fee out of club funds after you get elected.)

Suggestions for official breed club presidents:
You will need to confirm if the horses nominated for your team are eligible by accepting their registration, so it is recommended that you regularly check registration applications.

Suggestions for player group owners:
Since you don't have official registries you need to confirm some other way if a horse is eligible to join your team. You can do this by either explicitly stating it's eligible for registration, or just posting registration requirements on your club page that I can check myself. If it's clear to me the horse meets those requirements I'll add it to your team without needing to check with you first.

Suggestions for both presidents and group owners:
It is recommended that you send out newsletter(s) to encourage your club members to enter on your team, or organise contest related matters once the contest starts, e.g. tips or advice for getting high scores, organise a discussion thread for team members to chat, etc.

Suggestions for everyone else:
Players, if you have a favourite club that you'd like to see enter, but which doesn't have a president running for next month, consider running yourself so you can get your club involved, or encouraging an active member of your club to do so.


Prizes and judging

All entry fees and donations will go towards the prize pool. These can be paid into my spare account #75110. For the purposes of transparency I will post a screenshot of my bank records to confirm all money is going where it's supposed to.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three highest scoring clubs, with 50% of that prize going to the club, and the remainder being divided between the top three horses on the club's team. Additional prizes will also be awarded to the top three overall horses.

The prize pool will be divided up as follows:
1st place club: 35% of prize pool (17.5% to club, 8.75% to 1st place horse, 5.25% to 2nd place horse, 3.5% to 3rd place horse)
2nd place club: 25% of prize pool (12.5% to club, 6.25% to 1st place horse, 3.75% to 2nd place horse, 2.5% to 3rd place horse)
3rd place club: 20% of prize pool (10% to club, 5% to 1st place horse, 3% to 2nd place horse, 2% to 3rd place horse)
Overall 1st highest score horse: 10% of prize pool
Overall 2nd highest score horse: 6% of prize pool
Overall 3rd highest score horse: 4% of prize pool

Scores
Each horse's score will be equal to the amount of points gained in July, as read from their horse pages on July 30th, at 4am EV time (under the heading Horse Points: this month).
Each club's score will be equal to the average score of all horses in their team.
I'll keep a public spreadsheet of scores. Anyone who's interested is more than welcome to keep their own records, and check for any errors in mine.

Ok, so far this it the only horse I can decide I want to enter with. I will pick two more as I make up my mind. lol I am way too spoilt for choice, but this first horse was a First place winner last month for the TB raise a foundation contest. (Though technically she came first as a pair with her stallion counter part but this one is the better show horse.)

I just realised that I have 5 credits. Its enough for deluxe for a month. Meaning I can somehow (No idea HOW) pick a club or some more to run as president to try and get more involvement in the contest. I'm wanting to only run one club though. Just because @.@ It would be my first time with Deluxe.

That's great! I think the Miniature Horse Club has potential entries, but hasn't registered yet. Perhaps that's one good option? Also, I'm not sure but I think presidential campaigns may require you to have more than 30 days of deluxe to campaign. I recommend you check before you spend the credits.
