Puppies are coming!!

Ive been playing midwife to one of my chihuahua girls the past few days.. I have 3 chihuahuas, Tequila Rose (Rosie), Precious Pinot ( Pinot) and Cool Sweet Mojito ( MoMo)..all registered. Momo and Rose got together just after Christmas and now Im expecting a litter of mixed long hair/short haired, probably merle chihuahuas..
Poor Rose is soooo big now, her back legs are splayed out, she can barely walk..and needs me to carry her up and down the stairs and lift her on to furniture..Poor thing.. Ill be glad when the puppies arrive..she'll feel so much better...

Not really a Chi person, but I do like Dachshunds (which is where merle in Chis came from). Mojito is a pretty poopoo!

Awwwws. Chis are in our family. Sisters both have a chi and we just got our chi mix puppy 3 weeks ago.

Well after labouring all night...Rosie finally startin birthin the babies at 730 this morning...We have 4 adorable little chichi puppies.. 1 cream, 2 solid black with little white feet and bellies...and a dark chocolate sable merle.
Needless to say, after less than 2 hours sleep last night and playing midwife all morning...Im exhausted...and Im sure Rosie is feeling the same way...Will post pics after the pups and mum have settled in..its her first litter and i dont want to disturb her too much just yet. :oP

Well ....an interesting update...so 4 puppies were born the morning of Feb 27th...then....36 hrs later...she had 2 more!! yup, 6 chihuahua pups...( would have been 8 but one was still born and deformed...had like 2 bodies and one head...gross)
