Foal For Freedom Revamp - SU's OPEN

So there was tons of interest for the last one, though I sadly had closed sign ups before most people who wanted to sign up got a chance. So this will be open to everyone, whether you were in the old one or not, and hopefully I see new and old faces come to join!

There has always been two herds, a strong herd of stallions, and a larger, weaker herd of mares. And every year the two herds come together to reproduce for the two herds to continue to grow and stay full of strong, healthy horses.

Everyone was happy, and there was no worry about hearts being broken or feelings being hurt, because every mate was chosen purely to create a good, strong foal and no feelings were ever really involved.

No one ever had a problem with this system, for a long time. But as time went on, things changed.

After a while, the mares started to rebel, and no longer want to produce foals for the stallions, so they have began moving away, unbeknownst that the stallions had been following them. The mares were fed up with having no love, of being the only one to care for the foal. Especially if they were raising a colt, as it was taken from them when the colt turned a year old.

One night while the mares were all sleeping, the stallions caged them all in an old, abandon barn. Then the next morning, the mares were to be auctioned off to the stallions, and each mare had to produce that stallion's foal.

Now, this capturing and caging of the mares is tradition. And it is that time again this year, for each mare to be auctioned off to a stallion. Though now mares spend two or three days in the barn before they are auctioned off, with hardly enough food and little water.

Despite the begging and pleading of the mares, the Alpha stallion is persistent on following old tradition.

Herd Rules
⟹ Alpha Stallion doesn't have to "bid", he get's mare of his choosing when it is her turn to be auctioned off.
⟹ Beta Stallion doesn't have to "bid", he get's mare of his choosing when it is her turn to be auctioned off, so long as Alpha Stallion doesn't want the same mare. Alpha Stallion's wants overrule that of Beta Stallion.
⟹ Unless the stallion who won her lets her go for the next year, then the mare must produce a foal for the stallion who won her, and may not escape.
⟹ Every stallion must bid on at least mare, though if he chooses to set her free or use her is up to him
⟹ A stallion may have a maximum of three mares and a minimum of one.
⟹ When foals are born, they stay with their mother until they are weaned, after which they join the proper herd. Colts join the Stallions, and Fillies join the Mares.
⟹If a mare births her foal before everyone else, she is free to do as she wishes when her foal is matured, meaning she may run free with any, if there was any, released mares.
⟹ Stallions may not physically abuse their mare(s), though may punish her if need be. If he is found hurting her without or outside of reason, he shall be exiled depending on severity of the situation.

Bidding Lingo
Horses don't actually "bid", but more so fight. If a stallion wants a mare, he says he claims her. If some other stallion wants her, then he claims a challenge, and they fight. If multiple stallions want a mare, they all fight at once. It is not a fight to the death, and no stallion needs to be fatally injured. Once the Alpha or Beta declares the winner, the fight is over and the next mare is brought up. Alpha and Betas do not have to fight, though for laughs they may occasionally offer a battle with the other stallion.

➔ Please please please be literate and detailed. 3+ sentences per character per post. You will received one warning, before you will be kicked from the roleplay.
a. While I expect everyone to be detailed, descriptive, literate, etc, I don't want to read about gore and everything. That is unneeded.
➔ Please be active. I understand we all have lifes, and aren't roleplay robots who sit at a computer all day, but please try to post at least once a day, and if you know you won't be online to post for a few days, please forewarn me.
a. If you are gone for a long period of time without an explanation you will be kicked.
➔ I love original, unique characters that are unlike anyone else's. I understand there is lots of people who think similarly when it comes to creating characters, I have encountered that problem before, but I dont want a bunch of Jane Does and Billy Bobs running around in the roleplay.
➔ Make at least one mare and one stallion. If you want to make more, that is fine, but I prefer the number of mares be larger than the number of stallions if it is to be uneven.
➔ If you have read all the rules post how excited on a scale of one to ten, 1 being not very, and 10 being extremely, how excited you are in the Q/C/C portion of the sign up.
➔ The stallions in the rp are meant to be mean, brutal, rude brutes who hardly care for the mares or each other. Their main purpose is to pass on their genes, so that is what they want to do. While a couple of the younger stallions may be looking more for a mare to find love in, by the second auction most stallions should be cold hearted brutes.

Independent + Strong minded/willed
Halius has always been independent, wanting to be on his own and do things on his own. Being as strong minded and strong willed as he is, he always had high expectations for himself, and once he set a goal for himself he was sure ot reach that goal.
Disconnected + Distant
Halius has always come off as cold and distant, not really caring to build relationships so long as his herd is healthy and strong. Since the death of his parents he hasn't cared to talk much, and only really observes things, making him come off or seem very disconnected from the herd.
Conceited/Condescending
Halius thinks very highly of himself, and doesn't mind flaunting occasionally. He will throw his mightiness at others, always willing to put himself above others. This is not to say he doesn't care about the herd, as he would put his life on the line for them if he had to, but if it isn't a life or death decision, he would easily put himself about the herd.
Sarcastic
Halius will always fight his (non physical) battles with sarcasm. He is very snarky and sarcastic, and hardly every jokes about things, easily becoming frustrated over others who don't understand his sarcastic style of speaking.
☆ Description: Halius is a light, but strong stallion. He stands in at about 16h, with a fit, muscular but light build (built almost like a morgan x arabian cross if that helps you picture him). He has no trouble with stamina, with his long legs and lighter body, but at the same time has greater strength than that of a typical stallion of his build type. He has black hooves, mane and tail, and dark brown, almost black eyes.
★ History: Halius has no blood of any of the past Alphas in his veins. He fought his way to the top. Though whether he did so fairly is another topic for another time. He was chosen to be Beta at the age of 4. Come age 5 he had had enough of being the stallion in the background. During the night, while the Alpha was sleeping, Halius murdered him. But being the clever stallion he was, he had another stallion do it, promising him that when Halius was Alpha, that he would be made Beta and get whatever he wanted. Of course that never happened, and Halius, once declared Alpha, faked his grief and exiled the stallion for murdering the former Alpha.

Confident - Magnetite knows his role as a stallion in the herd and he is quick to overpower another stallion if he disagrees with him, he is always sure of the mares he picks even if they aren't the most desired mares from the group.

Evaluative - He likes to watch other stallions fight and pick out their strengths and weaknesses, he also does this with himself and knows his flaws well, this has lead to his quirky taste in mares, he often picks not the most beautiful mare but the mares that compliment his strengths and will make up for his weaknesses in the foals he produces.

Out spoken - In this way he is very opposite to the alpha who may seem distant, he is quick to get his point of view across and dislikes anyone challenging his opinion, especially a mare!

Persuasive/intelligent - He may be demanding with his opinions but often doesn't need to fight physically to persuade people to come around to his idea, he hopes this talent will win him the rank of Beta.

Strict - He is strict with himself and his mares, they obey all rules set by him or punishments are given out readily, however he often has a favourite who can get away with much more.

☆ Description: Magnetite stands at 16.2 and is lean with muscle but on the thicker set side, he is a exceptionally powerful horse and has a good stamina (imagine an Irish hunter). He is a stunning jet black from head to toe other than a symmetrical blaze down his face, he mane is the same deep black as his coat and quite long, covering most of his neck. He has unusually dark eyes too that are slice anyone he disapproves of.
★ History: Born to a stallion called Onyx and he has inherited his fathers quiet evaluation and quirky choice of mares but not his fine stamp. The strong, thicker build he got from his mother who was a gentle but unintelligent mare with little brain power so his father used to say. Raised mainly by his father he was quick to learn the stallion ways and how to treat the mares correctly with a strict ruling. Due to this he has become a well respected stallion in the herd.

@fhisy. Thanks! So just confirming Magnetite can be beta stallion? And GREAT I was thinking it'd be Rhyolite's first time in the auction, do you want to make her profile? I'll get the mares up now.

@Tiger; Magnetite has a good chance at getting Beta rank, though (as I do in all my roleplays with higher ranks, so its nothing personal against you) I want to hold off just a little longer to see if anyone happens to come along that might fit that rank slightly better. That's not to say that he doesn't fit what I'm looking for very well. And yes, as you requested it'll be Rhyolite's first auction, I'll start working on her form along with my other characters now.

Shy - Leelavathi is a bit shy, and being nervous about her first auction isn't helping at all.
Sensitive - Leela is easily hurt by others, and takes insults, etc. to heart.
Trusting - Despite being sensitive and shy, Leelavathi is initially very trusting toward anyone she meets.
Innocent - She still holds some foal-like innocence.
Caring - She cares about the well-being of the herd and of the conditions of the mares. But she also cares about pleasing and loving whatever stallion claims her.

Energetic - Odissi has a ton of energy, and loves to run.

Reserved - Reserved isn't the best way to describe Odissi, but she does love her peace and quiet moments. At times, she may seem withdrawn or, yes, reserved, because she just wants some peace/a time of quiet.
Friendly - Odissi is generally a friendly horse, especially to fellow mares.
Attitude - After an especially bad experience with a stallion, Odissi has a bit of an attitude towards stallions. She never assumes the best about a stallion until he has proven himself, and sometimes will throw out a few choice remarks.
☆ Description: Odissi is a bright strawberry roan, her legs and face a deep strawberry that fades into lighter tones that are speckled lightly with white. She has a white blaze down her face. Both her front legs have pasterns and her back right leg has a sock. She has a white patch on her rump that goes down her left back leg. She also has a white marking on her shoulder (hard to explain, as I'm not good at marking names... picture link near bottom lol)
★ History: Odissi has had life pretty easy, if you ask her. She's a bit of an optimist. She was born into the herd and has loved life for the most part ever since. Despite the despair of losing her first foal in childbirth, she had no reluctance about being auctioned a second time. But that time she was unable to bear a foal, and the stallion mistreated her to the point that he was exiled. Odissi is back to loving life, and hoping to have a foal someday.

Kind - Though he is kind, Artax isn't out looking for true love (though he thinks it'd be nice to find love).
Strong-willed - Artax sets his mind to one thing and usually doesn't change his mind. He follows through with most of what he sets out to do.
Truthful - Artax tries to be honest and be true to what he says.
Gentle - Artax is gentle with mares and foals alike (especially foals).
Impatient - He is the first to admit that, of all the virtues, patience is one he doesn't have. He can't sit and wait indefinitely - it's like torture to him. Some things he is patient with, but mostly not.

☆ Foals: Noble isn't really the fatherly type, he's only produced two fillies in which he's made no connection with, he's never even bothered to learn their names.

Outgoing- Noble is just one of those horses that CANNOT live without others around, he always had to have some sort of companion nearby. If he is alone for too long, he goes absolute bonkers. Usually he just throws a raging tantrum, but luckily he finds ways to mix himself into conversations.
Clever/Sarcastic- He is a very "foxy" horse, who just loves to creep under the skin, and hit others where it hurts. His favorite pastime is to blackmail, or bribe someone to give him his way in exchange for some peace. He may seem charming at first, but there is always a hidden intention behind every action.
Wild- Tossing his head, screaming out a whinny, or simply bucking for the heck of it is the best way to point Noble out from the herd. There is absolutely no way anyone could hold the stallion back, except for maybe the alpha... on his good days at least. There are times when the stallion just feels a bit rebellious.
Hot-Tempered- Usually its a rare sight to see him actually throw an all out temper tantrum, but he does have his moments. So used to getting his way, he would rather die than let someone get in his way without them fully experiencing his hot rage.
Unsympathetic- Good luck getting this one to feel bad for anyone. Try to throw a pity party, the the most you'll ever get from him is a flick of the tail. He doesn't have the time or patience to comfort others, nor the will. It's simply a put down he doesn't need.
☆ Description: Well built, not too lean, not too muscular, stands Noble at 15.5 hands. Not the biggest horse out there, but a decent size to hold his ego. Marking his clear breed distinction is his curled ears, a Marwari he is. His smooth coat is a pretty liver chestnut, and placed on the top of his head is a large star. Decorating his legs, three white socks, and one stocking on his hind right leg. His eyes match his dark mane and tail, which are right in the mid area between short and long.
★ History: Brought up proudly, he was the last offspring his sire, Royale, has produced before retiring from his old age. His father taught him well in working hard for what you want, even if it means cheating in the process. "Winning is winning" his sire has always taught him, being told otherwise is not something to take seriously.

@Oswin; accepted, and yes you only have one stallion. Though Leela is much to short to healthily produce a foal to a stallion, seeing as the herd is made of larger horses. So if you could make her taller that would be great!
