Color applicators or randomizers will not touch roan, because it's a marking rather than a color. Any of the KIT genes (tobiano, sabino, roan, white), overo, splash, rabicano, or LP (appy pattern) markings will be unaffected by a color-altering item.

And on the other side, any of the items to alter a horse's markings will not do anything to their color.

The randomizers are pretty fun to play with - every once in a while, it'll give you something boring (plain bay or chestnut or the like), but pretty frequently gives nice colors! An applicator costs more credits, but lets you choose what color you'd like (as long as it's an allowable color for the breed in question.)

That's a relief I really love roans :) I kinda assumed it would do basic colors mostly and you got lucky if it was a cream or the like, so it's nice to know I'll get something completely different that I probably don't have. Thank you Only the Wind.

Your Appie is lovely but I really need breeding stock, If he wasn't a gelding I'd take him in a heartbeat :) If you get any Varnish Roans or snowcaps with ok confo that are breeders give me a holler please?
