What is the Point of Player Levels?

Like the title says: what is the point to get player points and to level up? Just to say HEY! I made progress? Or is there some added benefits certain levels?

My Newbie is showing on this one, please forgive me if there is an obvious answer. On the old EV I mainly focused on making art. I'm basically a game side newbie XD

There are benefits that you gain at certain levels, although I can't seem to find a resource which says exactly what happens when.

All I know is level 3 you get forum post options,
Level 6 horse for stud,
Uh, 30 custom image for horse.

I feel like I'm missing a lot.

Yeah I can't find any information on the new update and what everything means or how to do things... it is very confusing and frustrating. Took me forever to figure out how to treat my horses... and breed..

As far as I can tell, right now, there isn't much point to player levels. Once you get past level 10 or so, there's no rewards till you hit 30.

I'm hoping that more things get introduced, though.
