A New Addition & Other Exciting News

So it's been roughly two weeks now since I've gotten my new horse! I'm totally in love with him even if he is acting like a butt head sometimes. His name is Loco, show name Mi Vida Loco, which is the name he actually came with though my mother and I created the show name. He is an Arabian cross, possibly Quarab, and stands around 14.3 hands tall. The lady we got him from estimated that he is around 10 years old, though he has been very touchy with his mouth and we haven't gotten a good look at his teeth.

He also hasn't been ridden in a year, and basically was left in the pasture to do whatever he pleased. I have ridden him and already been thrown off once, but I didn't expect less of him due to his lack of muscle and weight from being a pasture buddy then going back to being ridden and/or worked almost every day. Least to say, he has many fears to work with, and some that we have already worked over. I'm extremely excited to have another horse in the family after selling my other one back in May.

The Other News

I have been taking lessons with a friend for the past few months, since September, and last Sunday I had an amazing lesson and jumped with my lesson horse for the first time. I was proud of the horse and I and it was basically the best day in my life.



Another thing is that we are getting my little nephew a Mini of his own since he has fallen in love with horses since the day he was born. We put him on my riding instructor's horse and he was grinning ear to ear.

A horse named crazy? He doesn't look it, LOL!
