Conformation

#91568 Posted on 2017-02-07 14:50:26

So, I took a stab at conformation breeding, but the foals didn't turn out quite like I was thinking.
Is the foal conformation an average of the two parents?

It's an average with some random chance thrown in. The scores will be close to the mathematical average but may be a few points higher or lower.

I'm pretty new here, so not sure if I can ask another question on conformation here while it's still on page 1, or if it's better to start a new thread. I'll try here first...

I'm interested in focussing on conformation breeding once I'm lvl 6, so I'm orienting. And I saw some foundation pony's with really high conformation.
Is it just luck getting them from the EC, of was it triggered with credits.

So far I've only gotten one horse from the EC with about 50 conformation, so thought it might always come with average conformation, just like the 100 stats. But now I'm starting to doubt...

Horses created before the recode could have really high confo but horses from the ec now should have 40-70 confo. It's really just your luck.

Ah, that explains the 90+ I saw. Though around 70 is still pretty nice ^_^
Thanks for the quick reply!

the highest conformation i've ever seen from the post-recode Equine Center is 64.75
and i'm that person who stalks basically all horses created in search of good conformation horses so i've seen most of them ;)

Ah, I guess that conformation stats come out 40-70 then, and with a few 70 and also lower ones the average drops quickly of course.
Guess we'd have to depend on the high-confo horse we've got and hoping the foals will get lucky. Oh and hoping that people that have the higher ones return to EV again so we can breed to their stallion hihi.

Blodwyn, the top range of conformation for an EC horse is 64.75. I think the low is something around 40.

It's also possible to breed "up" in conformation from store horses. So you can start with a range of 40-60 and work up to higher conformation. I've got a project going on currently to test it out :)

Awesome, I messaged you! I'm currently trying the same thing, hoping to breed a few points higher out of foundies and so on and so on.

And I tried the horse search for maybe finding some that are already created, but it's almost impossible. Isn't there an option to search for foundies, or is there some kind of trick?
