Lipizzaners

#87043 Posted on 2017-01-11 11:39:03

Hi everyone, just wondering who breeds lipizanners?

Are they a popular breed?
What speciality do you have with them?

Thanks! xx

I breed a few of them. Just starter lines - so I picked a discipline/specialty that fit their stat distribution. The specialties are pretty scattered and odd so I may switch them all at some point in the future. Like I have one in driving, two in dressage, and one in endurance.
They're only 4 years old now, so I'm just now starting to do things with them.

edit: as for popularity, there's only like 1,833 of them on the game, so not the largest breed number but not the smallest either. I know there's a club for them and some people breed them, but I'm not sure how many in total favor them.

They are one of the least popular.. most likely because of the slim amount of colors and lacking all white spotting patterns. My last check of breed stats has them sitting 16th of 20 breeds. I have them on my 2nd account for dressage, but I am not active on that account at the current time... (soon I hope!)

I have a decent herd of almost 60 Lipizzaners. We are a few who breed them, but it’s one of the most unpopular breeds. If you’re interested you should check out the Lipizzaner Club and the forum posts in the Official Equiverse Club-board.

Most Lipizzaners are bred for dressage. If you intend to buy and sell I’d advise you to put them in that specialty.

I don't breed them currently, but I honestly like them a lot, even with the lack of colors. I already have too many horses, but if/when I cut down a bit I could see myself starting a line.

Thanks everyone, I love their art even though they don't have loads of colours and I think I'll set my young ones to dressage

I'm planning on breeding them. Dressage is the best. I got hooked on them while watching the PBS Nature show about the breed.

Just started my own lines of them. I don't plan to be super into breeding them, but I'm going to have them in dressage once they turn old enough to switch disciplines c:
