I am trying to draw some lines for a new tag. I drew the lines traditionally and then scanned the image into my computer. The image came out way to large for a tag (pixel wise), and when I shrunk it to 150x150 pixels the image became extremely pixelated. How do I fix it, or where did I go wrong?

What I would do it make sure you crop the image you scanned as much as you can before resizing, this will make sure your lineart fills up as much of the space as possible. You could then resize it, and it'll look pixelated, but that's when you go over it with a small brush on a new layer to make the actual lineart :3 Once you start drawing, your digital drawing will hold it's quality since it's not being shrunk down anymore. Hopefully this helps a little bit. Feel free to ask any questions c:

Thank you! :) I tried that and when it came to the part about redrawing on a new layer I'm a bit confused. I work on GIMP, and when I make the image that small, the brush is basically there size of one pixel and doesn't get any smaller, so even when I redraw it still looks pixelated.

i usually convert the sketch to lineart first, then resize it. if it looks really blurry, then i just redo it. i can help you line your sketch if you'd like :)
