Auto-Showing

#74584 Posted on 2016-11-05 10:05:36

I haven't used auto-showing for a long time because my horses placed better by hand picking shows. With the updates to the showing system, I'm wondering if auto-showing changed. I'm debating if I want to use it.

My main concern is entries. I like picking shows that have a certain amount of entries (usually 2-4), and I"m not sure if autoshowing allows that way to sort. Can someone screenshot the autoshowing screen so I can see what options you have to enter shows?

I also want to hear your opinions on auto-showing and if it is better or the same as hand picking (winning wise).

I've never hand-picked on this account because I have too many horses but Autoshowing tends to give me double what I spent in profits and have a decent amount of points/exp/stat gain each day. I tried different options but cheapest nets me the most it seems. I hand-picked shows on a different account with a handful of horses but didn't get much from it, maybe I was doing it wrong.

Your options are:
Cheapest
Most Expensive
Lowest Entries
Highest Entries
Soonest

The biggest problem I have with showing at the moment is just pure lack of shows to enter horses in. It gets very frustrating day after day.

Auto-showing hasn't changed with the new showing system, except to have "Runs Soonest" added as a filter option.

I do a combination of hand-showing and auto-showing. When I have only one or two horses in a specialty & level I use "Highest Entries" it works well for me. When I have lots of horses I use "Lowest Entries" until there are 3 of my horses entered into all the available shows. When I have more than 3 horses but less than 10 horses in a specialty & level then I hand show my horses.

Recently I started doing the Kahzie method of showing, which means only showing hoses that are within 10 stats of their next showing lvl and entering the rest of the horses into Riding Schools. I have modified the way that Kahzie does it so that it fits my own needs a little better; but Kahzie would probably be willing to explain her exact way of doing it.

Honestly I have too many horses to do it all by hand so I really have to rely on auto-showing to make it go faster wherever I can.

Ahh, those options are hard to choose.
By picking lowest entries I'll be entering a lot of 0 entry shows and risk not reaching the 5 horse minimum and no stat gain.
Highest entries and cheapest is probably going to have the most entries/competition. If there's a full 15 of entries that lowers my chance of placing.

Or maybe I'm overthinking it. I guess i could give it a trial run and go with cheapest or highest entries.

@Maple- What shows do you need? I can make some. I'm guilty of not making shows often because I don't know what's needed

My issue is that there isn't any entries in the morning hours, so I don't know how many entries the show will have when it ends. There's a lot of entries at night but I don't like showing at night because I'm usually busy at that time.

I usually need racing shows from L5 to R5 but it's a little late now since I just stuck all my racings in the riding school. xD
